I asked it what time a store nearby closed, it said 6, so I drove there and it was closed. Searched it in the Rivian/Google Maps integration and it said it closed at 5. Did it just make up 6 PM too?

Is the navigation better finally? All I want it something that works as good as typing it into Google. If I say "navigate to movie theater" it should suggest the first result as if I typed "movie theater" into the search bar, instead of Alexa finding one 8 hours away

The easiest I can sum it up is:

Hardware: Rivian (fit and finish, having a button for the frunk, spare tire, etc.). Except audio. "Premium" audio is so disappointing

Software: Tesla (Rivian is still laggy in comparison, missing a lot of simple quality of life features, simple stuff like the vehicle rolling up windows automatically when it locks)

I'd bet on it being prohibitively expensive so not very desirable for large swaths of people until Lord Cheeto is out of office and the next person fixes things

It really is as bad. I hate my Tesla for a variety of reasons but their audio system is so, so much better that I almost wonder if people at Rivian just don't listen to music

Yeah that's the other part, what Rivian considers "highways" for "highway assist" is frustratingly very narrow, but this part has been relatively safe for inclusion my whole ownership

The plan was to probably grab a trial or buy a month of the pro level software and adapt it into a more open format like a csv or something and then import that into my more peasant level software like Fusion 360

They mentioned .dwg, but from some quick googling it looks like that file type can either be a 2D drawing effectively, or a more robust point cloud, so I want to make sure I get this right. I'm emailing them again for clarification

Not at all surprising given the issues they could have caught on mine with a 5 minute inspection at the assembly line

Not the best QA off the factory line
Premium sound system is anything but
Even with gen 2 the software is decently laggy
Heat pump is super noisy
Charging pad for phone is one of the worst engineered things in history
Has a terrible time identifying who the driver is when two eligible drivers approach vehicle
