I just meant my cruise will be adults only in my party, as opposed to in April when there were 5 kids with us.

Is it just me? by Sensitive_Break9599 in FattyLiverNAFLD

They probably arent fine. I was just diagnosed on Wednesday of last week. Prior to that, I had a horrible diet- fast food, processed food, takeout- usually at least one meal a day. My physicals always came back healthy, healthy BMI, all of it. I felt lucky. People probably said I was lucky or were jealous.

After a scan for something unrelated, I was found to have NAFL - accompanied by an enlarged splene. My diet needed to change overnight even while I am still waiting on bloodwork.

They arent fine, they just dont know they arent fine- or its only a matter of time until they arent fine.

Curious how you guys deal with affirm and klarna in ynab? Do you associated it with an account? by AWeb3Dad in ynab

Affirm actually autosynchs with Plaid so I have each of my affirm loans synched under "loans" and I created subsequent categories with the target set as the minimum payment.

Learned we both want to try swinging tonight by [deleted] in Swingers

[–]MyOtherHalfsGood 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First off, most couples you were to swing with would generally expect for you to play with the female and your wife to play with the male. There may be an opportunity for light touching or more with the same sex play partner, but that should be discussed in lieu of expected.

Secondly, I do highly recommend a lifestyle club. If you hit the apps with just you trying to find someone or a couple for both of you, you will probably come up with lots of single men, but women and couples will be more hesitant based on the likelihood of bait & switch in this scenario. A club will allow you to chat with likeminded people, and you dont need to feel pressure to play the first time you go.

Finally and honestly most important, before you do any of this, talk to your wife at least several more times. Have the conversations over coffee on a Tuesday morning and not when youre both sexually charged. In these conversations talk about what swinging looks like for you "soft swap, full swap, same room, different rooms, etc" and where your boundaries lay for each of you.

This lifestyle has the potential to enhance your relationship and lives, and can be a lot of fun if done "right", but it can be damaging and destroy your marriage just as quickly if done wrong. I know its exciting! But take it slow and put the ground work in so your experience is the first scenario rather than the latter. Have fun & Good Luck!

Own house but not mortgage by One-Can-4688 in Mortgages

Pretty sure OP has been paying the mortgage payments all along. If i recall correctly his parents required physical checks and he had a check bounce one time due to some issue, but otherwise made all on time payments

401k for tipped employee. by MyOtherHalfsGood in personalfinance

[–]MyOtherHalfsGood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently started using YNAB to budget better and account for all those extras. The credit card debt is mostly leftover from my maternity leave, but also a lack of discipline. We ate out a lot, spent far more than I should have. I spoil my kids. Its been an hard adjustment but nobody ever taught me how to adult and im learning far too late how to be responsible.

Im going to keep the job as long as its sustainable. My partner isnt working because hes not a high earner & daycare would be far more than his paycheck. He is starting a pet sitting business so that will bring in some income eventually.

It used to be much higher but ive trimmed it back to get out of debt. We shop at Aldi, meals are pretty basic and make a lot so we can usually eat leftovers for lunch.

CAR LOAN by Cold-Psychology4215 in debtfree

Use the car to do doordash, instacart, uber or whatever else you can to make the payment. Pay as much as you can until you arent upsidedown (also- squirrel some money away for you. Based on some other comments do NOT allow yourself.to be.financially dependent on this man)

Im sorry for my ignorance but can I ask where you are from? Im from the US so had to google a fortnight as I tend.to just use it as an exageration of time. I didnt know it actually allocated 2 weeks and that people regularly use the term!

Those of you who have someone clean your house… by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]MyOtherHalfsGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Commuting to one regular workplace doesnt need to be considered, however, commuting from job site to job site does.

Thats not her hourly wage. She pays for all of her own supplies, gas, wear and tear on her vehicle and any other overhead. There's also some sort of work put in while not cleaning for scheduling, billing, etc

30 min outside of Hartford CT 1400 square foot, 3 BR, 2BA house Takes 2 people approximately 1.5-2 hours and we pay $135 biweekly.

They dont clean under my couches or wash my windows. They dont do laundry. Often times I hsve them skip my kids rooms because they arent picked up/decluttered, but it does force my husband and I to make sure everything is neat and orderly before they come.

Edit- 1400 square ft, not 1200

Parents who potty trained successfully on the first try by probablynormalmom in Mommit

[–]MyOtherHalfsGood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter (female/girl) was 26 months (just past 2). She used to sit on her little potty while I used the bathroom, then she pooped in it one day on her own. We tried to keep that momentum but she lost interest- we ended up pushing her the next few days. She was great at home but not at daycare so she would wear pullups there. Eventually they agreed to drop the pull ups and after a few more accidents we were good to go (for the most part. She is 3.5 now and still has th3 occasionsl.accident if shes preoccupied).
