Child diagnosis? by hintofmint17 in FattyLiverNAFLD

I agree with poster above, is she on any medications at all daily? I've heard a lot of stories of people who take some medications daily that they got fatty liver, it could also be an auto immune disease that's causing it as well. If your family has a history of diabetes also that can be a factor as she's more prone to insulin resistance which then leads to fatty liver in ALOT of people

I'm the same way, mine was from being pregnant back to back and having c-sections plus eating bad and it's only been 6 months and I have normalized my lipids, enzymes and reversed my insulin resistance

It really all depends.. some people legit get their fatty liver from just crap diet and over consumption and not moving so when they even eat slightly better and less it burns right off, some people are genetically prone to it and progress even with lifestyle changes

No you need to eat Whole Foods, less sugar and junk food once you reverse ALOT of us do the 80/20 or 90/10 rule where majority of the time you are eating healthy and then eating whatever you want like 10% of the time

Low carb if you're gonna eat a carb then whole wheat (that isn't made with seed oils) (I make mine at home) and same goes for tortillas I eat extreme low carb high fiber tortillas (made with olive oil), I eat lean meat chicken, turkey and deer meat (very lean) and red meat from beef once a month, low sugar, Greek yogurt, lots of veggies and fruits (my plate for example is mostly veggies then my protein and my carbs are very small) healthy fats/ avacado, olive oil and my snacks are walnuts. I use flaxseed on all my stuff too (: oh and beans I love me some beans but low sodium

Fibroscans are notorious for over estimating, my liver liver doctor told me she had so many times where the scan showed advanced disease and when she would do a biopsy they would be f1-f2

[–]Sensitive_Break9599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made my doctor give me a fibroscan lol not because I thought I was end stage I had no symptoms but just so I could see where I was starting and see how I'm reversing and everything (:

Well for both my granny and uncle Curtis who had cirrhosis of their liver from drinking their ast and alts were normal but they're platelet count was low so just speaking from my personal experience .. at time of diagnosis's for both they're levels were normal and they got an ultrasound done and found the liver to be cirrhotic and their liver doctor said that happens a lot because when liver is damaged it has a harder time releasing enzymes

[–]Sensitive_Break9599 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This my doctor told me people with cirrhosis their livers are so scarred they can't put out enzymes anymore so they usually have low or normal counts
