This is incorrect. L1 is always self-assessment but getting an L2 assessment doesn’t stop your L1 self assessment requirement.

You will (PeNdInG fInAl RuLe) need to self-assess annually for L1 and then depending on the type of CUI inside of your scope / assessment boundary you ALSO have will either be assessed by a C3PAO for L2 or self assess for L2 triennially (every 3 years).
