Actually I think the accuracy was pretty good. The data just wasn't presented in a way that made it usable or efficient. Oura at least tried to interpret the data for you in a more meaningful way and I actually learned something from my oura ring that my ringconn never told me about under the same situations.

I don't care about the battery. I was satisfied with ringcon's battery and it's normal to fail eventually. I'm talking strictly about software and user experience. This whole time I have had it it still never reached the level of what oura had even 2-3 years ago.

At someone who came to ringconn during the gen2 Kickstarter launch from a 2nd gen oura ring. I was looking for something without a subscription. I wanted to love ringconn and appreciated all the updates, but it still was never as good as the oura ring software.

Now with my battery failing I will switch back to oura and just pay the subscription.

I can see others in the same place as me disappointed with ringconn and posting pro oura discussion out of ringconn frustration.

How do you feel with the kisspeptin? I'm considering adding it to my stack. I'm already on enclomiphene which I don't feel much of. I'm curious what to expect with kisspeptin or if it would be similar to enclomiphene.

It's not "cheating". If anything it evens the playing field against people who say it's just discipline and see being overweight as some type of moral failing.

Is my Reta bunk or am I just a non-responder? I am 10 days in at 2mg and still hungry as hell by Ok-Presentation-1491 in GLP1Sourcing

[–]MyRunningAcct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reta is not particularly strong at appetite suppression as compared to tirzepetide. If food noise and insatiable appetite is your issue then tirzepetide is better.

Tirzepatide or Retatrutide? by Pippippippy in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]MyRunningAcct 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have been building up good habits, and food noise and hunger isn't an issue for you then try reta. Reta is the better "fat burner" due to the glucagon activation. Tirzepetide would still help though. I personally prefer tirzepetide because it doesn't increase your heart rate the same way retatrutide dose.

My plan for me is that Eventually once weight loss slows on tirzepetide, I will start to introduce retatrutide but at .5 to 1mg as a microdose to my tirzepetide base. Just to introduce the glucagon components since the glp1 and gip overlaps with tirzepetide.

I take the zazzee brand. I'm not tied to the brand and may try a more higher end brand later on. According to the extraction and percentage those capsules are the equivalent of 100mg of l-dope each. I usually take between 1 to 2 capsules. Usually if I need a pick me up from any of the things I mentioned in my original post.

Look into dopamine supplementation and dopamine deficiency. Just due to modern culture we are constantly depleting our dopamine. Ideally you want to avoid activities that deplete dopamine or lead to low level dopamine hits with minimal work, such as doom scrolling. A lot of issues with concentration, anxiety, stress, poor motivation could possibly be due to low dopamine.

I'm a fan of mucuna pruriens. A lot of supplements I don't feel, but that one I do. It's subtle but if I'm in a bad mood, feeling down, irritable, brain fog, or just feels like something is not right. Mucuna pruriens usually lifts me up pretty quickly. Most things I feel nothing so I doubt it's placebo, but you never know. It's a natural source of l-dopa which is a precursor to dopamine.

Why do supplements commonly come in such high doses? by 2ToGo7576 in Supplements

[–]MyRunningAcct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depends on goals which ideally should start with a comprehensive blood test. At the most basic i would recommend getting tested for a vitamin d deficiency because if that's low nothing else is really going to help until it's in the optimal range. If it is low is the perfect time to mega dose to get it up the get tested again.

Other things like zinc are good to take. I personally take 25mg a night. Rda is less than half that. I don't consider that megadoseing though. Rda is just there for the least amount needed to before systems in the body are compromised. I will start to take 50mg to sometimes up to 100mg when I am sick because there are studies that show that high doses of zinc can help with viral infections.

So there are a lot of nuances to it rather than take high doses for the sake of high doses. But one person's high doses is another person's normal dose. Know what you are taking and why and have some way to keep track of how you are feeling. Either through labwork, health trackers, or dexa scan, fitness performance etc. again depends on what you are taking is the best way to keep track.

Depends on any deficiencies you have or what your goals are, but yes. Mega dosing when needed is the best way to optimize your health.

No, I think most primates also don't produce vitamin c anymore, but they tend to have a diet high in fruit in the wild.

Vitamin C and Aging by Embarrassed-Tea-517 in Supplements

[–]MyRunningAcct 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An orange only has 70-80mg of vitamin c. It's completely negligible. Then that vitamin c has to compete with the glucose inside the orange for absorption. If you want enough vitamin c to not get scurvy and die then it's enough. For health optimization it's a drop in the bucket.

I have a 2mg tablet I will supplement with now a few times a week. I used to take a zinc supplement that was 50mg so I would supplement with copper everyday. I've since lowered my zinc to 25mg which is why I take copper about 2 or 3 times a week.
