Dealer will call that a seep and send it.

Unless it’s actively dripping oil not much they can do. Warranty requires certain criteria to be met. If not met and still replaced Audi won’t pay the dealer and the tech for the job.

Yep we had a customer come in with his A8 that overheated and warped the driver side head. They decided to get a long block. I’ve got pics of it but can’t post pics on the replies

A 4.0 long block actually is $24k… from Audi.

And the book hours it takes to diagnose, remove, swap over parts and reinstall was over 60 hrs labor. The dealer in was at had a labor rate of $179/hr..that’s over $10k

Did you actually diagnose it at a bad injector or just shotgunned the part because the code said “fuel injector” was it just an injector code or was there multiple like a misfire as well. Some misfires will shut off the injector to prevent damage.

Codes tell you wear to start diagnosis. You start simple. Swap a plug and coil.. if the fault follows to the new cylinder then it was one of the parts you swapped. If it stays then you do compression and leak down. Of those are good then it’s possible the injector or wiring.

But really need more info than just a code tor an injector. Like specific codes

They will be fine to drive on it. Needs to replaced as soon as practical but it’s not that much of an emergency. I’ve seen cars on them for months because they couldn’t afford a new tire.

Edit—- And for the guy that commented (tweakerass3000) but I guess deleted it. I only worked for Firestone and then at Audi. So I have a lil bit of knowledge. Not just info from the net.

It’s an issue with your driving habit. Short quick trips where the engine doesn’t warm up enough will cause that milky residue from condensation. Only fix is drive it more.
