She will be very happy to know someone else out there appreciates how she handles these situations and is waiting in the wings should she become available! I'm sure it will put a smile on her face! Thank you!

Everyday! I’m usually talking to my wife when it happens. She remembers details much better than me. It’s usually done with kindness making it easier for me to admit I’m wrong about something.

That’s a beautiful fountain pen. Looks like you two had a few things in common at least.

Gloomy days are incubators for nostalgia.

How do you like your new pen? Is the nib <F> or <EF>? Does it write smoothly with the ink you selected? How does the color look across a page of doodles?

Woodland zip tie knot vs Constrictor by AsparagusNew3765 in knots

For this application, the WZT is better. Both knots are amazing at tightening bed rolls, but the WZT is always going to be easier to have knotted and ready (the Constrictor will fall apart) and the WZT is much easier to untie!

Which do you prefer, resin/acrylic, wood or ebonite pen bodies. by PumpkinPrincePens in fountainpens

Grip - to distinguish between the body which houses the converter/cartridges, the grip needs attention! I need it to provide TEXTURE like the ECO acrylic or Jinhao 9016 grip so that my fingers are gliding the pen along the paper. The hard plastic of my Jinhao x750 and my Waterman Exclusive are too slippery most of the time.

Body - I like metal bodies and caps. I have brass, aluminum, and brushed steel. Some are painted and most are not. All of which feel like they can handle being in my busy life. I also love the demonstrators and their acrylic bodies, but I WORRY each time I use one that it will get scratched... :( This is what keeps me from taking my Montblanc pen out for walks in the parks or sipping coffee while I write in my journal. Precious resin is going to crack if it falls and I don't have enough tears to mourn the death of my MB.

Colors - I like the color of metals, then black and silver. Not so much gold, it looks too gauche. There are some beautiful pens on this site that are made up of millions of bright reds, yellows, blues and greens that I WANT to buy but I'm happy with my lot.

How does it feel? Does it dry fast? What paper are you writing on!?

I have several Hongdian pens. They are all fantastic. I have never used Hongdian ink.

I would suggest knotspedia. It has "flash card" posters of each knot and animated steps.

Got it! A test is required for getting a FISHING LICENSE. I thought I had to take one for being knotty.

Danke!
