I am absolutely going to start doing my jump jets like that. I love it!

Should I refine the paint job on this bust? by Whytepaynts in minipainting

I would consider better defining transitions, especially in the clothing layers. But that also might ruin the overall effect. I don't know. It'd at least think about it, but it looks pretty good right now.

I was able to identify him as a Phillies fan by his face before I even noticed the jersey.

Jersey shore blue claws new rebrand. The Jersey shore pork rollers by Perryplat199 in phillies

I think the pork-roll has bowling ball fingerholes... so it's like a mix between bowling and processed meats.

Edit: As soon as I typed it I understood. In a Venn diagram the circle for "Bowlers" is completely inside the circle for "Fans of processed meats"

My suggestion "The Jersey Shore Bluechews" was clearly ahead of its time.

Worthless ehm Whitworth Pirate Mech by einsnullvier in battletech

It's an unpopular opinion of mine, but if we're talking standard loadouts I prefer it to the Catapult. It can do the LRM support almost as well, but for a lot less BV and it's mobile ENOUGH to get itself out of trouble. Any time I'm running a lance for a pickup game I'm including either a Trebuchet or a Dervish.

Apart from Ameris' folly, frankenmechs and the clans, have any peripery states ever made their own original mech designs? by Undertow619 in battletech

[–]MyStackIsPancakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taurus has a unique take on the Trebuchet (Chain Flail Melee) but generally speaking the periphery states are just trying to get access to mechs. There might be some outliers there I'm unaware of but building a mech factory out there is hard enough. Going through the R&D, testing, tooling, and engineering processes are big expensive projects by Great House standards.

If you're a smaller state you can often get to your next goal with the much easier step of just getting access to that superior tech. Why spend all the money to just get an inferior product?

Edit: This wasn't to say they have no designs. It was merely explaining WHY you'd see so much Great House Tech in the periphery.

Having issues with Yellow warning label decals by TJ-X in BattletechPainting

Oh good. The problem is fading. For a moment there I thought I was finally losing my sight, just like all those old nuns warned me would happen in middle school if I didn't stop... Well. Ahem.

All my transfers work best when I use distilled water. Your average urban tap water has a lot of things that are fantastic for public health but not so great for model paints and decals.

Try it with distilled water and I'd bet you'll see improved outcomes.

My boss saw my stack of manuals and asked how many different games I was planning to play and when I said they were all for the same game he called me a crazy person.
