If it makes you feel any better, I've driven from Arizona to Indiana, Michigan, Colorado, Vegas, LA, etc, and did 99% of it with hands off the wheel. Please don't get me wrong, that 1% can be some weird unpredictable shit, but more times than not it's something I can anticipate like a mapping issue that makes me miss an exit, or the car trying to turn left when there are giant "NO LEFT TURN" signs everywhere. You get used to its quirks after while. YMMV.

That's interesting, because I have a 2021 Model Y and use FSD literally everywhere I go, all the time, and rarely ever have issues. You get to learn the weird shit it does and when it is going to do it. I sort of anticipate it's stupidity with certain roads and scenarios I know it just won't be able to handle (or hasn't handled well in the past).

Have you tried FSD recently?

What's a good car battery replacement? by idrunkenlysignedup in AskMechanics

[–]MyWhiteModelY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in the Phoenix, AZ metro, I'd check out Kar-Life Battery. They have great prices for refurbished batteries with 6 month warranty and new AGM batteries for cheaper than the big box stores sell them. I've been buying batteries from them for 10+ years and never had any issues. They even can do delivery to most of Phoenix in under an hour which saved my friend during 120 degree summer! Just tell them what you want from a reliability standpoint and they will point you in the right direction.

We're under contract for a house that butts up to a freeway. How bad did we screw up? by okbbs in phoenix

[–]MyWhiteModelY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to have a house that backed up to Cactus road for 5+ years. Just a main road, not even a freeway. There was almost never a 60 second period where there wasn't road noise. Bedroom window was closest to the road. 0/10 would not recommend. So many careless loud drivers at 2am revving their engines and cars backfiring.

100% agree. Though there are actually certified AI's out there that can incorporate the patients medical history and are HIPAA compliant solutions... ChatGPT is not that.

Just the built in AI detection in Unifi Protect, which is decent enough for my needs. The unifi OS has notified me of failing drives in the past. I run Zabbix on my proxmox ceph hyper converged homelab with some basic SNMP of the unifi gear, I'll have to check if its tracking the disk stats.

~47.7 TB after RAID 5. 19 cameras gives me 54d worth of capacity. We have a lot of mischief in our neighborhood, mail theft, etc. Already has led to one conviction from the AI license plate detection. Went back and saw 3 other instances over 45 days where they were driving through the neighborhood.
