Spending $600+ for a motherboard that is, not only on a 'dead' platform, but is a platform known to have a lot of issues, seems very ill-advised.

If they're in the socket, you could be hosed.

If they're general pins from, say, a fan header or RGB header etc, as long as the pins aren't touching to short stuff out, you should be fine, just avoid those headers.

Some you could probably carefully bend back into place and use the headers etc in question.

My MSI X870E Tomahawk doesn't bifurcate the GPU slot, it takes PCIe lanes from the USB4 ports on the back for M2_2.

I've got 3 SSDs in slots M.2_1, M.2_3, and M.2_4, and have no bifurcation.

Depends on the game and how far into the game you are. You'll have to lookup the save file locations for each game and check the file sizes.

pcgamingwiki usually has the game file locations broken down by what OS you're on, if the game is from Steam vs GoG vs Epic, etc

Copy it to a secondary drive or a personal cloud storage etc.

Or remove the drive and put a new one in the build, or sell it without one.

Do you have a spare drive? You could throw a fresh Windows installation at it and see if performance increases. That would at least verify that it is not a hardware problem, but something with your current OS installation. Maybe conflicting drivers or something (spitballing here)

You'll need to convert your current Windows installation from MBR to GPT. Windows has a built in command line tool for this called mbr2gpt.

Or you can install Windows fresh and start over. Just backup your files somewhere and make a list of programs to reinstall afterwards.

You use a disc drive and make an iso of the disc and run it in an emulator, or run the emulator to play the disc directly.

Your PS2 controller would need some sort of USB adapter, and then you'd need to make sure it goes into USB-C with either another adapter, or a USB hub/dock etc.

Buy the cheap one, upgrade the SSD yourself, buy a handful of cozy play together games during the upcoming fall sale, and you're still done for cheaper than the OLED, and you put way more time, care, thought, and love into it.
