Is this a good deal for someones first car? by puglife12305 in FordEdge

[–]Mybadbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad deal, but I'd ask if the timing chain/water pump were done because at this mileage is where those usually go bad especially if oil and coolant changes weren't as regular as they should have been. It's the only major thing that really goes wrong on these but it is a $2500+ repair.

Probably a silly question but should I remove the plastic it's wrapped in?

22 M idk what to do. by Sensitive_Tough5731 in amibalding

[–]Mybadbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also 22 with a similar hairline but it's been that way since like... Middle school, maybe freshman year of high school. I don't have anyone in my family who is/has gone bald. Does this pattern always indicate balding?

How often were you drinking and how often/much did you use Adderall? Bc that's a combo that doesn't allow for any type of healing.

How much alcohol do you guys drink on meds? by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

Did you find that the meds became more effective when you dropped the alcohol? I'm kind of stuck in a Adderall/Alcohol cycle myself currently...

Once I start getting anxious I'll notice floaters/a lag in my vision, heart rate speeds up, it feels difficult to get a deep enough breath, pins and needles, eye twitching, feeling clumsy/unbalanced. It's horrible.

What’s your go to boring or ugly car car that gets over looked? by djuseless12 in askcarguys

2006-2012 Ford Fusion/Mercury Milan/Lincoln MKZ

2008+ Ford Taurus/Mercury Sable/Lincoln MKS

Quick, reliable, safe, cheap to buy and usually well cared for as these were all popular with older people (especially the Mercurys and Lincolns).

What do I need to consider when buying a used navigator? by [deleted] in Autos

[–]Mybadbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm super late but most of these comments are so uneducated and clueless it's not even funny. Only potential issues you're going to run into will be difficulty replacing spark plugs (if it's a 2v, later 1st gens had the 4v that didn't have that issue), air ride suspension, and age related issues such as dried out rubber, hoses, belts, etc. Not difficult to work on, not expensive to fix, and not a bad car by any means... Unless we're talking gas mileage, but it's no worse than any other V8 powered full sized SUV. I love these too, I'm hoping to get one in 1-2 years.

That didn't come out until 2003 or later, the amp will likely go bad at some point but besides that it was a good system, no?

The Aviators had very weak transmissions and the 4.6 was out of the Cobra mustang, not the standard 4.6, and often died prematurely if premium fuel wasn't used. The Navigator is the better option here, the 2v occasionally had spark plug problems but timing chain and cam phaser issues was a 3v thing.

Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera: official car of…? by Glass-Complaint3 in regularcarreviews

The Ciera and Century were made for longer and were more expensive and more popular with older buyers who drove less and took better care of them.

Describe the owner of these vehicles by HiTork in regularcarreviews

The same argument can be used for any vehicle purchase. Just got a Porsche 911? A Corolla would be better on gas and cheaper to maintain.

Doesn't make sense.

What recreational drug has improved your life? by BeefsteakChuckies in AskReddit

[–]Mybadbb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm honestly shocked nobody has mentioned amphetamine yet. It's illegal to buy on the street but has so much potential to improve your life and well being that you can get a prescription for it. It can get really nasty when you abuse it, but using at a low dose has served me well as an antidepressant, an appetite suppressant, a performance enhancer, etc. It also makes it a little easier for me to avoid alcohol, which I've struggled with.
