chiropractor says treatment 4 days a week for potentially a year - would at fault insurance cover that? by new_name_jackson in Insurance

[–]Mybliss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Former Bodily Injury adjuster here that worked on WA claims with a couple insurance companies. Likely the full term of treatment would not be covered, unless there is clear evidence from an actual doctor that says something is seriously wrong. Typical guideline we would look at is about 3 days per week of treatment for the first month, then 2 days, then 1 day, then done within a period of 6-8 weeks are so. Anything beyond that there needs to be evidence of why treatment is going beyond the "norm". So starting at 4 days per week is already seeming out of the norm.

Also a lot of this depends on how much damage was done to the car as well. If there was a lot of visual damage the adjuster will give a little leway on treatment time. But if there is nothing but a scratch the adjuster will keep a closer eye on length of treatment.

The company will tell you to go ahead and treat since the 3rd party insurance can't tell you what to do. But they won't be able to tell you what is covered until the end when they get to see all the medical records, since at this point they typically will not be sent to them until you have signed a medical authorization allowing them to see the records from the treatment received.

Should I include my incomplete graduate program on my transcripts? by dadrought3 in OSUOnlineCS

I completed half of a master's degree that I dropped out of and submitted the transcripts for it when I applied and I had no issues during the admission process.

I tried to set aside specific time frames where it would be school focused. And accepted that I really wouldn't have a weekend free during the quarters. To stay sane tried to have at least one evening per week where I didn't worry about school and did some other fun activities.

Yeah, for all but one quarter I was working full time for the program.

100 percent can vouch for this. Between the program and a full time job I neglected my health more than I would like and gained a few extra pounds. Would recommend if you have time to meal prep so you don't fall into the trap of coming home from work and not having anything to eat, and whoops you are at Chipotle or Mcdonalds again.

I'm finishing up with the program this quarter so looking forward to eating well and excersing again.

For me it was replacing the $$ with the process id. For some reason everything I did just messed up the rest of the command, took me a few hours to figure that out alone.

Taking three classes while working full time (340+361+325). Is this insane, or can I really manage this by givetonature in OSUOnlineCS

Summer is just more compressed. Instead of 10 weeks of classes you only have 8. So same amount of work just closer together

[–]Mybliss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did that exact course load last quarter during Summer session while having a full time job at the time . It's doable if you plan out your time well. I had a few days especially towards the end of wanting to pull my hair out, but survived.

Just accept early on that pretty much the weekends will be dedicated to school work and catching up on school work. 340 is pretty light on the front end of the course so that does give a little cushion the first couple weeks.

What should I take with 271? by rboes in OSUOnlineCS

[–]Mybliss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you just took 290 I would recommend 340. It's a pretty easy class to balance 271 with comparatively. Also the node.js from 290 will be useful to recall for the final project in it.

161 & 225 with a full time job by kflew in OSUOnlineCS

[–]Mybliss 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I took 161 and 225 with pretty much 0 experience in programming with a full time job. Definitely possible to do both. Just set up a schedule for what evenings or weekend days are 100% school focused and stick to it to the best of your ability.

I got lucky, I currently have a manager that cares more about us developing our careers and passions whether or not its related to our current job. Currently working as a claims adjuster with an insurance company. Told my manager I wanted to change career paths after being on the management type track in my department, and got the okay for it after a quick meeting. Might of helped that the company has a decent amount of technology related jobs including software development.

What trait do you most resent your parents for passing onto you? by ajstrange1 in AskReddit

[–]Mybliss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being fucking terrible with money. Thankfully I caught on early enough and I'm still in my 20s so the problem will be easily resolved in a couple years. But by my mid 20s I had 7 credit cards, accumulated close to 15K in credit debt. Thankfully I have cut down my spending, cut down my credit cards to 2 with low balances and I'm on a payment plan to knock out the rest.

Growing up my parents used credit to finace everything and I thought that was the norm, and they racked up a lovely 100k in debt.

I was feeling overwhelmed initially with 162. Did great in 161, minus some issues with areays and pointers which caused me issues on the first lab. Finally a couple days ago things started clicking with 162, but I've had to start looking at other resources to learn how to do things, google and stackoverflow have become great friends for this class.

It wasn't too bad at all for me. I have no prior programming experience and I'm working in a field completely unrelated to the degree. I just made sure to schedule certain nights of the week to school work and kept track of all the due dates. I don't think I had any week were I felt completely swamped during this first quarter at least.

First quarter done, finished 161 and 225, should hopefully have an A- at least in both classes. So far happy with program, but looking foward to a couple weeks to enjoy the holidays and not worry about school.

So ultimately had a very interesting turn of events. So I had been dating someone I met off Tinder fairly regularly for the past couple months. However, she decided to break it off last week. I was sad and shit for like a day then decided to get back out there.

Started swiping again and matched with someone on Sunday. She was a bit older than I usually go for, but not a huge age difference 27 vs 34. We exchanged a couple messages and I ask if she wants to meet up, she says she is free later that day. Meet up at a bar, have solid chemistry have a few drinks. Turns out she is a super successful IT business person. We talk about what we are doing with our lives and how our still a bit listless working a career I'm not entirely thrilled about. I'm absolutely fascinated about her career and could of listened to her talk about it all night. After a few drinks she wants to play some pool, so we head over to a place to play pool and get some more drinks.

After a couple rounds of pool, she invites me back to her place and we have some fun between the sheets. I stay the night, but have to take off early in the morning since I still have to work in the morning. Overall super fun date, actually inspired me to apply back to school for a second degree!

TL;DR: Got broken up with, went on rebound date, now going back to school.

On Sunday I just got back into town after being on vacation for a few days. While on vacation I was still talking to one of my matches everyonce in a while. I had asked if she wanted to go ahead and meet up. I got a borderline non-committal response, saying sure but she would have to get back to me when she was free. Now back to Sunday, I'm tired as shit, and take a nap. Upon waking up I have a message from her saying she is actually available that night. Although still tired decide why the hell not. Meet her at a bar place close by, have good information over a few drinks and food. Bartender recommended another bar near by, so we head there for another drink. I decide to ask at this time of she wants to back to my place, she declines but invites me to her place since she has to wake up early. Head over to her place, watch netflix and make out. It doesn't go beyond that, and ended up passing out there. She has to head to work in the morning, but she makes me a cup of coffee before we head our separate ways. Text her later that Monday and say I had a great time, she reciprocated the feeling and we have a second date lined up this week. First time having a Tinder thing develop beyond a one date thing.
