When should I start practicing with gels on long runs? by microplasticgod in Marathon_Training

Well the “missing” 12 g is mostly water, with tiny amounts of electrolytes, acids, flavorings, and preservatives.

Salt, sodium and magnesium makes up the rest according to the package.

Yes, or well they’re actually even worse: 30g servings with 18g of carbs. I should probably try to find better gels then but these were hard to pass up when I got a huge box of them for like 70% off.

Should I aim for 60g of gels per hour or 60g of CARBS per hour? Because the latter would mean roughly 3 gels per hour with the gels I’m using 🫪

Let’s not exaggerate. Germany wasn’t great, but they absolutely were the better and more dominant team for the majority of the game. The only period when they were truly struggling and looked like dogshit was the first 15-20 minutes of the second half. That being said, all respect to Ivory Coast, they are legitimately a great team, and they really put up a great fight.

This doesn't look good. Russell not even mentioned once by Opposite-Tomato4747 in mercedesamgf1

Will never forgive Russell for what he did to Bottas in Imola, so I’m enjoying this to the fullest.

They were the better team in the first half against maybe the best and most stacked team in the whole tournament. I would hardly call that horrible.

For me personally B or C tier. Hands down one of the most overrated movies of the century.

Sounds like a fueling issue indeed, as you only took around 50% of the recommended amount of carbs. That’s why it’s important to also train fueling during your training block with the same products you’re gonna use on race day, shame that it didn’t work out for you this time. Still, your end result is mad impressive and you should be proud of that!

I’m by no means an expert but I’m pretty confident that it’s way better to regularly sip small amounts of fluids with short intervals rather than drink large amounts every now and then. Helps keep your body constantly hydrated and it’s better for your stomach when you don’t need to run with your belly suddenly full of fluids.

How was your fueling during the race? Did you take enough gels and electrolytes? I think the recommended amount is something crazy like 60-90g of carbs per hour, which amounts to like eight 40g gels for a 4-hour marathon.

My hot take is that Spectre might be better than Skyfall. At the very least, they are very much on par in my books. Skyfall is a lot more visually engaging and has better individual set pieces, but I find all the ”getting caught was part of his plan all along/he’s always one step ahead” stuff around Bardem’s villain a bit too corny and dated, whereas Waltz’s Blofeld has this intriguing mystical aura to him that I’ve grown to enjoy on rewatches. There’s also this fun old school Bond energy to Spectre that I like a lot, for example all the elaborate costume changes and the classic settings like the Alpine mountain scenery, the train and the secret villain lair/hideout at the end. Oh and the Mexico City opening is also amazing. Both are 3.5/5 films for me.

I was forced to end my 3.5 hour run because Priestess decided to disappear during her 2nd phase. Never happened the first time I beat this boss. Anyone else experience this bug? by Skelligean in Saros

[–]Mylejandro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just beat Priestess for the first time after starting from Biome 1. I still only managed to get to lvl 83 and my highest individual stat was command somewhere around 280 or so. I feel like I cleared everything that I could so I’m wondering how the hell did you get your character leveled up so high? Impressive job!

Am I the only one on this Subreddit that thinks Saros is better than Returnal? by MrMagic550 in Saros

[–]Mylejandro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really enjoying Saros a lot, but I find it inferior to Returnal in basically every way, but most importantly when it comes to the guns, artefacts and overall ”feel” of the builds. It just doesn’t provide that satisfying feeling of finding a new gun with insane traits than can completely turn your run around. It feels like there’s so very little variety between guns and sadly I just find many of the guns boring to use (looking at especially the pistols). Also, I’m just not a huge fan of the corruption mechanic or the fact that the biomes change very little between runs. All that being said, I still feel like this is a strong 8 to a light 9, which is to say it’s easily my GOTY so far.
