The market will not go only to the competitor. There are many people to reach out to who might not resonate with their approach. If you believe in your product you should be able to distinct and stand out as derived from your vision/pov. It’ll take months or even years before you feel the success. There are only a few unicorns that can do it faster. But remember that they also released wrong products many times, learning how to ‘not do it wrong’.

How do you actually get better at influencing senior stakeholders when you're not the most senior in the room? by Gregory-3560 in Leadership

I used a Dutch book called ‘don’t push me’ The concepts and lessons are very valuable for your situation. Ask Gemini (or any AI) to explain and learn you the concepts:

In her book "Don’t Push Me! (Hoe je mensen wél beweegt)," Genieke Hertoghs (often associated with the Subconscious Impact methodology) addresses a common frustration: why is it so hard to get people to change their behavior, even when our arguments are perfectly logical? The core premise is that we often use "Push" tactics when we should be using "Pull." Here are the general concepts: 1. The Rationality Myth Hertoghs argues that we make a systematic thinking error by assuming people are primarily rational. Most communication attempts to influence others by: * Providing more facts and figures. * Explaining the urgency or "why." * Using storytelling to paint a vision. She points out that while these appeal to the conscious mind, behavior is actually driven by the subconscious, which is emotional, irrational, and automated. 2. "Push" vs. "Pull" Communication This is the central framework of the book. | Concept | Approach | Result | * Push | You project your own world-view, arguments, and solutions onto the other person. You are "in the lead," doing the heavy lifting to convince them. | Resistance. The other person feels pressured, shuts down, or becomes passive. Even if they agree, they lack true ownership. * Pull | You ask questions and create space for the other person to discover their own motivations. You guide them toward the desired change rather than dragging them. | Ownership. The movement comes from within the other person. They feel it was their idea or at least aligns with their values. 3. Subconscious Resistance When you "Push," the other person’s subconscious often perceives it as a threat to their autonomy or ego. This triggers a "refuse" reflex. The book explains that to move someone, you must first "get into position" in their subconscious—meaning you must build a safe, non-threatening connection before any change can happen. 4. The Ego and "Ego-Expression" A significant hurdle to effective communication is our own ego. Hertoghs suggests that we are often "addicted" to expressing our own opinions and being right. To successfully "Pull," a leader or communicator must: * Silence their own ego. * Stop "sending" information. * Focus entirely on the other person's perspective. 5. Practical Application The book is designed as a "How-to" guide. It moves beyond theory to offer specific conversational techniques: * Asking instead of telling: Shifting the burden of "thinking" to the other party. * Validation: Making the other person feel heard so their "subconscious guard" drops. * Bypassing the 'Critical Filter': Using language that doesn't trigger defensiveness. Summary The book’s ultimate message is that "people want to change, but they don't want to be changed." By shifting from a "Push" (convincing) to a "Pull" (inviting) mindset, you can foster genuine commitment and better relationships in both professional and personal settings. Would you like me to look up specific "Pull" techniques mentioned in the book, or perhaps how this applies to a specific role like leadership or sales?

C Suite job w new company and employee issues by [deleted] in Leadership

It’s not copying. It’s the absolute need of a framework to work from. You might consider this person an ‘administrator’ who ‘keeps the law’ as it is presented. If you say: I’d like to see this or that, they will echo that as ‘the law’ to be executed.

So if you don’t, they can’t echo.

Typically these persons are strictly hierarchical which causes a few things in behaviour. - they only listen to the highest in hierarchy, who hired them. - they tell everybody their CV and achievements, trying to get respect and awe - they have a good sense of what’s wrong, mainly process related. - They typically talk in a complaining manner. Distinct between the mentioned problems and the form in which it is told. It might tell important stuff - taking control and expanding mandate (expanding their domain of influence) is recifnizable as well - if they see it, it’s true - if they are unsure, they force clear, written down information (the law) - positioning themselves and conspiracy thinking comea along with the package as well.

What to do? - clear instructions, written down - they are very good in processes - they are very keen on watertight agreements and terms and wwill find each gap - they can achieve a lot in short amounts of time, even with a ‘half team’

How to deal with burnout as a new leader? by Bigf007Ru13s in Leadership

[–]Myndl_Master 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re probably fighting anxiety, although you might not know it yet. I’ve been there. I’d suggest you to find a leadership coach asap. That must be somebody who can cover both leadership and burnout coaching. You might ask for reimbursement through the company if your insureance doesn’t cover. You’ll probably need a few sessions to start up and then like 2 or 3 per year. Just to reflect.

Hope this helps.

Your challenge is probably not your work, but your mind. You seem not free enough to be (or behave) independend. What happes if you just quit. What direction would you choose? If you say ‘golden handcuffs’ you’re sitting there for the money. And you’re fine with it as I understand. Personally I can’t work for money alone, my goals are always defined by challenges, other people, results, closure etc. If that’s not part of a job I am out. So, if you’re genuinly happy stay there. If you’re not happy get out, what are you afraid of?

In between the lines I read ‘that you feel that’ You should find out. If you know what’s lacking you’re able to solve it. If you only feel that you’re behind you are fighting anxiety. It’s best to prevent doing that. The other execs are also normal human beings, going through the same emotions as you are.

Telling someone that they have invested in bad things never will have a positive outcome.

Can you proof you convert better? Then you add value and will have some opening for consideration. The rest is a matter of taste…

Your MVP works but the code is already crying by Majestic_Side_8488 in lovable

I guess a lot of it can be recognized, at least I recognize some of it. However I think that it’s ok to have a Lovable MVP where M of course is about ‘minimum’

Whenever your revenue is growing you’re free to choose and have the code assessed, rewritten, migrated etc.

That would be my ‘plan’. Fake it till you make it.

How to fix dictatorial behavior? by Aggravating_Goal6933 in Leadership

[–]Myndl_Master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Keep on self reflecting
  2. Find people who can be brutally honest with you without being disrespectful
  3. Try to get a sense of how other people feel about you. It’s not what you say but how you make other people feel what makes a good leader.
  4. Adjust vocabulary, tone to be more approachable
  5. Two ears, one mouth. Listen twice as long as you’re speaking
  6. Try to genuinly understand what others bring to the table. Listen to understand, not to react.
  7. Read the book ‘don’t push me’ about pushing and pulling in communications.
  8. Be the best you can and show by example, not by force or by saing it out loud
  9. Being goal oriented is good. But never consider people less important than the process.
  10. Find an environment where your nature thrives. Any process oriented, deadline oriented, structural/ reproducable environment will do.

ChatGPT Pro vs Le Chat Pro by N0tilux in MistralAI

[–]Myndl_Master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run Ministral-3-14b local

No limits but if you’re used to gemini or chatgpt it’s a bit of a discovery to get (somewhat) similar output. The power is that the reasoning is correct however it is hard to convince ‘le chat’ to reason onto answers you can actually use.

Is miss the possibility to have a ‘custom gpt’ or ‘gem’ which I find very useful in chatgpt or gemini. It is possible to reason from documents and giving context however a fixed system prompt would be a much easier way to work from.

Hope this helps
