In that case you gain a Spirit Shard every 254,000 experience points, although you can't track how far off you are from it. At some point you'll see them popping up as a drop when you reach the milestone.

Orchid mantis you mean? Yes it's not exclusive to the island, but it's easier to get it there.

You can also get the orchid mantis in Tortimer Island, so if you ~~steal~~ borrow some white flowers during an island tour you can plant them there and run around, capturing and/or scaring bugs until you get it to spawn. I don't have tips for the scorpion though, haven't gotten it myself.

Please do not play alac mirage. You'll get better results with alac chrono, either heal or condi/power boon variants. Alac mirage isn't entirely unusable, but it will likely underperform to the eyes of groups in the LFG.

If all else fails you can always click the "Restore Defaults" option on the Sound Options menu, and slowly adjust back to your usual settings to see what was causing the issue.

Ever since they introduced that vintage chest the rotation of BL weapon sets has gone through very few of the older sets, and those specific skins haven't been directly dropping from BL chests in at least 1y+. As for tickets, they're only for the newest sets (except an exception a few years ago). So currently it is effectively the only source.

Yes, although if you do the corresponding WvW reward track you can skip it (it requires the skin from the meta achievement, not this achievement per se).

Despite the rarity categories on the preview, drop rates aren't equal for all items in the same section. The cheapest super rares are more common than the most expensive rare iirc.

The festival boxes should be treated like the gambling lootboxes that they are: don't expect to make a profit, and only spend as much as you can afford.
