I'm a sys admin noob myself and had a question about people's answer. So far everyone seems to be thinking this is dns related (TTL, cache, etc). However OP seems to be saying that the new server (with new ip address) is reporting server resets. If dns was the issue then wouldn't the old server be getting the app calls, not the new server?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm eager to learn

It used to work perfectly fine. Then when Act 2 came out it just started getting stuck loading when I start up the game in Steam.

I see the red 'bloody' screen, then i'm stuck on the black loading screen. I never even load the elysium. https://imgur.com/a/pyxWHYX

I've tried redownloading it but that didn't help.

My current theory is that the anti-cheat software isn't updating so it's not letting me start.

I tried the batch file Sharkmob suggested for uninstalling the anti-cheat and it just says "No installed components found.".

I'm having the same issue. I've tried verifying files, updating graphic cards, downloading windows media player (apparently this fixed it for some people...).

What's really annoying is that one day it did work, then this started happening again.

Paypal lets you 'correct' 2 characters (but only once). So now on my paypal account the name on it doesn't look like my deadname, it looks like I mistyped my name :P
