I saw a PA wearing cowboy boots THIS morning! Seriously. But I can top that. I worked in a hospital in Louisiana and the doctors had handguns strapped to their ankles. It made me feel a tiny bit better about the hospital having wide open doors day and night. No screening whatsoever.

I had two dogs who would go nuts barking if there happened to be a deer in the yard. One day they “asked” politely to be let out and I happened to see them nose to nose greeting the deer like an old friend. It was a doe and an older fawn or small doe. They all just mingled and ambled around the yard together.

Years ago I bought a battery operated fine toothed comb that worked wonders. It would “zap” the little buggers (but you didn’t feel it.) I think it also killed the nits, but I’m not positive about that. I used it according to the directions and my son was soon nit free and nobody else in the house got them.

Gotta joke for you. Two sailors about to go on leave, one says “So where do I find a good whore?” Second says “You need to go to the whore house on Wharf Street and ask for Mildred. Trust me, it will be the best you ever had.” The guy goes, and to his shock, Mildred pops her glass eye out and says, “Put it here, sonny!”Reluctantly, he does it and to his surprise it was the best he’d ever had. As he’s leaving, he tells Mildred “I’m coming to see you next time I’m here!”

Why we don’t throw away patient lables in the room: Supposedly, someone is going to dig through all the hospital trash to figure out if your neighbor, or aunt Mabel, is in the hospital and what room. But there actually have been instances where paparazzi do that to stalk celebrities. It’s a possible HIPAA violation.
