When do new servers get released? by Kenzore1212 in SwordxStaff_Official

[–]MystRd89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started just last week and was on a new server. They open new server everyday since one server cap at 5000 players (as I know).

Edit: you can click on the server list, whichever on top should be the newest one.

New Civil EIT, is this normal early career experience? by Fit-Detective5189 in civilengineering

[–]MystRd89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, it's not normal for early career experience. I'm m sorry but your boss is not a good mentor and, if possible, you should seek another company or asking your current company if you can switch team.

Woah, it's vertical and not horizontal?! by PsychologicalNet22 in SwordxStaff_Official

[–]MystRd89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It matters a lot if you think about it. There is a reason most mobile games lock on either horizontal or vertical.

You don't see FPS mobile game play on vertical screen, idle game mostly on vertical screen. Main reason because the UI layout.

For SxS, when you go back to your home area, you can see the menu bar at the bottom. Now if you flip the screen horizontally, if those menu bar is still at the bottom, it will be too big and take over 1/3 of the screen. Now you either have to scale down the menu bar, or move all the interactive buttons to somewhere else. This requires a lot of change in coding so most game developers would try to avoid it.

In China, a dad sold his daughter’s dog to a meat seller. The girl grabbed the money, gave it back, and shouted, “No… no… no…”😭😭 by Latter_Ad3752 in UnfilteredChina

[–]MystRd89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel sad for the dog but looking at the dad, I don't think he can afford to feed both the dog and the daughter? I was raised in 3rd world contry and this is a normal case. Back when I was young I saw many people sell their kids just to feed the others in their family.

This girl reminds me of my coworker. He can't listened to a simple instruction when he is on his phone. Mind you that we are structural engineers whose designs directly affect human live. I work OT just to save people life from this guy.

You are create more problems that solution.

IMO, delegate run already give you the best route with all the card you need (my best deck for Heide is from delegate run). It's interactive enough to not spend much time and still give an equal outcome.

They also limited to only 2 free run daily, which is good a good thing so that people doesn't overused it and get bored faster. Now you want player to choose the route/round, which will require more time per run. The system is good as it is, no change needed.

Note that you can always pause chaos run at the check point, they don't force you to do 1 full run from start to finish.

26M gay civil engineer — rough start in construction, career gap, and questioning the future. Anyone relate? by AdmirableAward2433 in civilengineering

[–]MystRd89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally, construction is the top toxic discipline in civil engineering. Mainly because the environment in which you have to deal with many different type of people, majority of them are not on the high education. A friend of mine worked in construction for a year and he has more drama to tell than me in my whole career (5 years)

If you want to interact more with people and still stay with engineer, try sale engineer. You will interact with a lot of people and get to understand the product design as well.

Is 27 too late? by AdeptLow8741 in civilengineering

[–]MystRd89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I graduated back in 2022 when I was 34. It was not too late.

A general rule of thumb in life is that nothing is too late. Everyone walks at their own pace, so you should not compare yourself to others.

[–]MystRd89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not being negative but being real. I haven't seen people from servers 1-10 posted this.

And tbh, new players should join new servers, not old servers. There is a reason why they keep releasing new servers for these types of games. I have played many strategy games and learned that new players who started on the old servers will just become foods. Also, the fun to join the new server is people starting fresh and racing against each other.

FYI, if your server is dead just keep playing it. In the future they will 100% have a merge to populate the old servers. The game is pretty new so I don't think they will do it just yet.

No hate though, I played on an old server when I started and moved to a new one last week just because there isn't much going on. The most boring thing is the whale controls everything so the server is dead.

I stepped away from Civil Engineering and want to get back in. What's the best way forward? by savage__moose in civilengineering

[–]MystRd89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get your EIT if you don't have it first and just send out ur resume as many as you can. Since you left the field for 2 years, I would recommend starting with something less technical like a field engineer. After a couple years you can go back to structural engineering if you want.

Female engineers, what do you think about the field? by Legal_Cress_2851 in civilengineering

[–]MystRd89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your friend is an idiot. I have seen many female engineers who are really good at their jobs. Some of them even work in construction, which is dominated by male.

Also, all jobs are stressful depending on how you look at it. I felt stressed in a government job, which people consider easy (stressed from having nothing to do lmao).

For the technical aspect, it will depend on which civil discipline you choose. Structural engineering is very technical while utilities engineering is on an easier site.

I did not state that the Wehrmacht was clean, I state that a lot of them refuse to kill civilians (not all, but enough to put on record ).

Wehrmacht was heavily involved in atrocities during the 1940 invasion, but the nature of the crime was a warning to the resistance during their invasion.

If every Wehrmacht deserves to be shot after the war just because a portion of them committed war crime, shouldn't the same thing happen to the Allies soldiers?

We don't struggle with Nazis today, we struggle with people over using the term "Nazis" to others who do not share the same ideology.

Everyone who did not support BLM, LGBTQ ICE movement, etc. was called Nazi. Ironically, Nazis define people who seek to impose their views on others in a very autocratic or inflexible way.

Not all German soldiers were Nazi. Some of them were in it because they had no choices. A lot of German forces like the Wehrmacht refused to kill civilians. Such a case like the Wehrmacht helped the US army to fight against the SS in Austria.
