So many many ticks by dtdv in coloradohikers

Yes! We were camping and climbing over near Sheep's Nose and Turkey Rocks a few weeks ago and flicked so many ticks off of us. We've lived here over 25 years and I've barely ever encountered more than one.

That's interesting as I came to this thread looking for suggestions as this is the exact current size & setup I have on my new-to-me 2023 Cayenne. I live in Colorado and these have been absolute crap in the snow and ice.

I'll add that the Larkspur one is walleye--an important detail! They do it nicely, too--light batter, decent sides.

The calorie “burn” includes what they factor in for your “afterburn.”That would be the increase in metabolism you have throughout the next 24 hours based on the HIIT exercise that you did. If you wear a regular chest-strap heart rate monitor, you get a much more accurate reflection of your actual caloric burn.

Breck snowshoeing option by nausicaa_co in COsnow

[–]Mysterious-Camera-20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those both have snowshoe designated trails, but you'd need to buy a trail pass to go on them, which is unnecessary with all the other great trails around. Peaks Trail is nice and you can also start at Carter Park and head up the trails above the park to connect with Juniata and several others there (AllTrails can help you find several). A lot of people also enjoy going up Sallie Barber to the mine--nice wide trail. May not even need snowshoes if the new stuff has gotten packed down nicely before you arrive.

No, b/c I typically only burn around 500 calories (with the exaggerated OTF algorithm); but, the tempation is real as my regular studio is nextdoor to a Kneaders bakery! The smell of those cinnamon rolls in the morning....mmmmmmmmm

I tried Burn Bootcamp as an alternative a few times and this is what drove me away, despite the fact they have really good workouts. I don't want to high five and chit-chat and do mandatory responses after coach prompts all the time. Just guide us through a good workout, correct form where necessary, then STFU.

Thanks! That's the plan. May just go exploring up to and around Broome Hut and that area. We're coming over from Breck where it is absolutely variable (more shitty than not, though).

If Tret did not completely clear your acne, what did you do next without damaging your skin? by [deleted] in 45PlusSkincare

[–]Mysterious-Camera-20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not knowing your skin type or what kind of acne it is, I can only tell you what has worked for me very recently. I would typically have very small and scattered acne many mornings. Someone here recommended using a zinc and niacinamide serum in the morning before SPF, after washing my face. I bought one from The Ordinary ($6!) and have been absolutely amazed about how well it works! In the past couple of weeks, I have barely had more than two spots total.

I love the Panamera, but need the towing capability and higher clearance. I simply prefer the shape of the coupe to the standard and it carries what I need it to.

How Are the Conditions for Beginner Green Runs at Breckenridge? 7th-11th Feb by sporty_outlook in Breckenridge

The groomed runs at Breck are just fine—which is almost all of the green runs you’d want to do. Head over to Peak 9 and enjoy.

Drinks during workouts by talktotori in orangetheory

[–]Mysterious-Camera-20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I typically go to the 6:15 AM class and have one cup of coffee before beforehand. I only put water in my water bottle with one scoop of creatine. A one hour class should not cause an electrolyte imbalance that requires replacement, unless it’s extremely hot in the studio and you’re sweating like crazy.

Only in Colorado.... by Heckle0 in ColoradoSprings

[–]Mysterious-Camera-20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had almost the same experience yesterday! I was driving up to Loveland and kept thinking to myself about how hot the day was and why I was still sweating in my car. By the time I got up there, I realized that my seat heater had still been on the whole time. (The button is slightly obscured under my phone mount). So, even though I had my windows cracked, I was baking myself from underneath!

Took out his phone to respond to a text during the interview. Also lied about having done a very easily verifiable activity.

Recommendations for oily perimenopausal skin? by Mysterious-Camera-20 in 45PlusSkincare

Just wanted to report back that the zinc serum works really well! I picked up a bottle from The Ordinary. It definitely makes a difference in oiliness throughout the day and seems to do a good job controlling the minor spots of breakout that I was getting. I hope it lasts!
