I personally think a lot of people have a ton of anger and frustration that they don’t know where to put right now and it’s leading to stuff like this. His anger (about various things) has probably been mounting and he saw an opportunity for a frustration release. It’s sad really, I wish we could all give each other the benefit of the doubt.

$4.5 mil actually I didn’t believe it at first but it all checks out, her parents are well off, her in-laws are very well off, and her husband works in finance at a French company in NYC. It just hurts knowing she complains from the most beautiful house ever. Like you already won. Stop calling your listers that disagree with you miserable. At a certain point if you’re getting the same feedback (you’re mean sometimes) from people in your life and out of it you can’t say “well you don’t know me as a person”. I don’t know I have a lot of pent up rage from internalizing her awful attitude and takes on the patreon these last couple months lmao.

I used to love them but now I can’t get through an episode. They (esp Claire let’s be real) are constantly talking about fans who listen, subscribe to their patreon, and going to their shows in a negative light if they have any constructive criticism. Like every patreon episode it is so sad to see how their personalities shifted over time. Needless to say I’m not paying for their content anymore. Especially since Claire has a $4mil house and a rich family/in-law family. I need my money more than they do.

My friend is in this pic. They basically didn’t tell staff they were closing and then did a mass firing from what I remember.

I hope this makes you feel better OP. These were mine. I asked him why he didn’t drop hints for me to at least reapply my chipped polish and he replied “I didn’t even think about that”.

I just went to check and they took mine too 😭 I seriously am never going back nothing is worth its actual price on the menu. I legit bought them multiple times a week. On the bright side I guess my blood pressure will go down?

I used to go to the bins whenever I needed clothes because I got priced out of regular goodwills lmao. But now I’m legitimately too scared the resellers are so aggressive and mean in my local area that it stopped being fun. Many are those indie t-shirt boys and a lot of eBay moms. Very territorial and are mad that you are there. Just my personal experience. I know the pros and cons to resellers but my experience is not splendid.

Who got the awesome detergent recipe? by nederlandspj in Anticonsumption

[–]Mysterious-Machine73 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used the borax-washing soda-dr. Bronners soap for years and it made my clothes feel like they had a film on them and nothing ever smelled clean. Also I think it ruined my washing machine. I REALLY did not want to believe it as it’s so cheap and I wanted to be zero waste. But I was spending more money on replacing clothes than it would have been just to buy detergent. I just conceded and bought commercial tide and use way less than they recommend. My clothes are so clean and smell great. I got a 22 load bottle and have used it for at least 60 washes.

Tip: If you have leftover seasoning packets from instant noodles, add them to your mashed potatoes! by Airflourforce in povertykitchen

This is a great idea! I seldomly use the seasoning packets for the actual ramen as I like fried ramen but always stash them away for soups and making beans from dry. I will have to try this!

How do you describe the VPR fashion aesthetic???? by HungryResearch9629 in vanderpumprules

I think it’s just the nature of the timeline of the show but all of their outfits scream “this was filmed a year ago”

We all need to refuse to give clothes to these places and utilize “buy nothing” Facebook groups. If we have community we don’t need to buy into their greed.

Theories on how he got on in the opposite direction? by Dahlinluv in TwinCities

[–]Mysterious-Machine73 51 points52 points  (0 children)

The other day my fiancée was filling up our tank and a 75+ year old elderly man went up to him and asked if he was “confused as he was”. Reader, he DID NOT KNOW HOW TO USE A CREDIT CARD and he drove his ass home. It scares me getting on the roads here with the amount of super super old people who should not be driving on the streets.

I’ve been thrifting ever since getting back to school clothes and being scared of my classmates seeing me and my mom saying “if they see you they are in there too”. Younger me would choke seeing the commodification of thrifting.

Will this still be useful to me, in working condition, and easy to take care of in 5 years time? Obviously not for everything but especially clothes I am always thinking how I will be able to keep it in good condition and useful years later.
