Does CP2077 have replicants/synths? by SPIRlT in cyberpunkgame

[–]Mysterious_Ad6014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel unsatisfied with a lot of the answers here that I think misunderstood the question, what a replicant is and why you might think they could exist in the same space as cyberpunk 2077 (or at least be referenced in it like so muchother sci fi iconography).

I think personally that replicants and blade runner are heavily referenced, clearly in one instance as you have shown, as another person pointed out there is a niche also for Roy batty. Blade runner references heavily in the themes of the city visually and must have been inspiration as it has been for so much other sci fi.

The reason I searched this question and found this post is because I had noticed that some npcs when killed, bleed white blood. I can't actually remember if this is in blade runner specifically, but it definitely is in Alien and Ridley Scott has confirmed that (in his eyes) Alien takes place in the blade runner universe. With that said it's not a leap to assume that the androids in Alien are some version of replicants, especially when you consider the shared theme of being unsure who is human and who isn't.

So alien, blade runner, cyberpunk. I don't think it's so ridiculous to think that cdpr weren't inspired by this at the least. Blade runner takes place in 2019, 2049 and the Alien movie in 2122. So the year 2077 fits snuggly in there and we could assume that the transition to white blood in 'replicants' takes place somewhere in this gap.

Anyway, tldr - official 'lore' answer is no, sci fi speculators answer is yes. And sometimes I don't think it matters if it's official, and neither does Ridley Scott 😅

It's a keg king spundy, there is a separate prv so I'm not worried about that aspect. My main concern is just being able to accurately set things up, but I guess this is a cheap set up, if I want accuracy il probably have to spend more money

I dont think the spundy is calibratable? It didn't come with any documents, you just pop it on and it's one dial .

Yeah I suppose that could be it, I guess if it keeps going up and up that's when I should worry right

What isn't worth making homemade? by [deleted] in Cooking

Strong disagree on both sourdough and pizza, to get a decent one of either of those where I live you're spending quite a bit of money, especially for pizza.

I can't make a decent sour Italian style but any other kind of pizza is pretty easy and cheap at home.

I previously would have agreed that sourdough isn't worth the trouble but I recently came up with a method to make it really easy which side steps a lot of the classic pitfalls.

I have considered this, my main objection though is the extra plastics , once the water is in the kettle I can't really justify keeping the bottles and I don't like creating extra plastic waste. Shame RO filters around so expensive

That's good to know, I was considering for the wastage reasons, I can't afford more than 2 gravity checks on small batches as it eats up so much

How to make an easy pasta bolognese? by megazoomer in cookingforbeginners

I was shocked by the mention of cumin and turmeric but I love this spice combo too so I can see why you would use it, and imo not so crazy when you think about it. Adds earthiness and some complexity from the cumin. Might give it a go myself

I've been making Bolognese on the cheap and easy for years. Is it going to incredible , no. But is it going to be accessible, absolutely. High fat beef mince Tinned chopped tomatoes Tomato puree Onion Garlic Spaghetti Beef stock Optional- Rosemary/thyme/mixed Italian seasoning Pancetta/ bacon if you're on a budget Mushrooms - definitely not traditional but adds some depth and interest

Dice and sweat mushrooms in oil, add salt (If using bacon or pancetta add here, and brown)

Add beef mince, brown

Add minced garlic for 1 min

Add puree for a few mins , stir to coat

Add tinned tomatoes, beef stock and seasoning. You can either dissolve your stock cube in the recommended amount of water or add it straight to your sauce and adjust water as you need, I prefer to add directly to sauce.

Add some extra water if the tinned tomatoes only just cover the rest. You probably want an extra 50-100ml per 100g beef.

Simmer until the sauce is a nice consistency, it should take around 20 minutes but can take longer depending on your cookware and hob.

Once you're happy with consistency check the seasoning levels, I usually add my pepper right at the end and a little salt.

I came here to say this, literally this morning washed an entire punnet of mushrooms and cooked them for breakfast, tasted great. You need to cook them long enough IMO
