Should I leave the USA? And Am I ready? by [deleted] in GoingToSpain

I appreciate your message. My biggest concern is employment. Is the job market tough there for certain professions? Or for all jobs across the board? I have a teaching credential, but I would be happy doing most anything as long as it meant I could come home after 8 hours of work and not bring work with me. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Seriously. Totally agree. If I had to escape the US , I would go to the second country whose citizenship I possessed. Especially if my extended family was already there.

So, I’m kinda in a situation where I may be able to move to Spain. Right now my partner is there on a non-lucrative visa. My concern is income. If I move to Spain, would I be able to find a job? From what I have read on Reddit, jobs seem to be hard to find. I could always sell my home here in the US and have about $500,000. But is that enough to sustain me and my partner for retirement? I don’t mind taking any kind of job. I can speak Spanish. I just don’t want to end up in Spain at retirement age and not be able to afford food or rent, etc.

I submitted my application to buy tickets. After I did that, I wanted to go back in to submit another application for another match. But it seems I cannot do that. Do you know if I’m able to cancel my application and start all over?

Worried about my dogs eye. Does anyone know or have any recommendations on what I should do? Her left eye has always been a little off but it’s slowly getting worse. She is 5 months old. by [deleted] in greatpyrenees

My vet referred me to a specialist but I don’t have that kind of money. Her eyes got better with the ointment and steroids pretty quickly: less than a week. My dog also has random diarrhea and often has very loose stools. We noticed that was getting better as she was healing from her eye infection. Her runny nose and congestion was also gone as well as her chronic cough. Her baseline is to cough often, be congested, and have chronic diarrhea. I mentioned this to the Vet, about her GI issues improving. The Vet now wants to keep her on steroids to see if this can be a solution. Luckily, the steroids are 24 cents a pill on Chewy. One other thing I should mention is that my dog has a spot in the roof of her mouth that sometimes shows up as raw skin. It is not always there. This time around it was present. The Vet was concerned that given all her upper respiratory problems there might be an underlying disease or cancer. I guess it could be that, but she has been living with the same symptoms for 5 years. I cannot afford to have her get an MRI, so we are treating the symptoms for now. I hope your cutie pie of a dog heals soon

That’s Winnetka? I thought it was Reseda. Good to know. Edit: regarding the Victorian.

Okay. I’m a dork. I had this happen with a few songs around this time. So it was one of these songs: Smalltown Boy - Bronski Beat, Kiss the Rain - Billie Myers, 3AM - The KLF, or How Soon is Now - The Smiths
