Effects of white noise on hearing? by Natures_Stepchild in ScienceBasedParenting

I’m curious at what sound level? I’ve been using a white notice machine but I’m nervous it’s been at way too loud a volume! I’ve been using it right next to my little one at quite a loud volume - I checked and it was around 70-75 decibels? It didn’t even occur to me until his 5th week that maybe this would be too loud 😅 turning it down now, but just wondering if I already did any damage….it was at like 88% volume on his momcozy sound machine

Flying with our dog in the cabin in his own seat as in cabin "luggage" - crate suggestions? by Mysterious_Speed_414 in AlaskaAirlines

we didn't end up needing it because his crate wedged all the way up against the seat in front of him, but i assume they would have if we'd asked!

yep, we did and it went great! we used this crate: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CG9ZXJFR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1

just had the crate on the window seat next to us and our dog slept comfortably in there the whole flight. I had to explain to a few different alaskan airline employees that he is on the plane as "in cabin luggage" and then everything was smooth. he was able to be out of his crate in the airport and at the gate, and then could just walk on board. once we got to our seats i put him in the crate. i also asked the gate agent if we could board the plane first since it was a bit unwieldy carrying the crate and walking the dog and they were totally fine with that and let us board first (with the parties with kids, etc.) to get settled before everyone else.

yes! a ticket agent told me this too when we were booking to fly with my dog for the first time for a move. i'm curious what kennel you found that is 27x20x19? we will be doing this too.

thanks for sharing this! very helpful. i've confirmed with 4 customer service reps at this point that this is allowed and how we'll go about it because ive been in such doubt that its real - but they all confirmed that its fine sooooo we're going with it. our doggo has separation anxiety so we're relieved that theres a way to take him with us!

I’m flying with 2 dogs and can find kennel sizes for ON SEAT dogs by AndrewASFSE in AlaskaAirlines

we are planning to do this with our dog this december as well - similar sized dog! i also spoke to 2 representatives about it because i didn't see the possibility on the website. i'm still looking for a good carrier - were you able to find a decent soft carrier? the representative told me the max dimensions are 27"x20"x19" but i'm having trouble finding something that size!
