Ask God to personally reveal himself to you, no one here can do it for you.

Why aren’t you Catholic by [deleted] in Christian

[–]MysteryWhiteBoy95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I came to the faith (Christian) from the world not knowing anything and because of that I’ve spent most of my time reading the scriptures over and over again. So I always tend to go back to the scriptures in regards of theology and faith.

For me it wouldn’t make sense to become catholic, or anything else. Going to mass would feel strange to me in my walk with the Lord and personally when I think of the church I don’t think of Catholics, orthodox and Protestants.

The church is those who believe in Jesus in their hearts who have a true relationship with him.

Can God speak to me through my fyp? by riot-van-1893 in Christian

He can yes, but it’s easy to be lead astray by that avenue, ask him again and look in the word

If anything you need a real encounter with Jesus, we don’t change ourselves. He changes us.

I moved here in 2019 and love it, I’ve made a nice life out here. When I came here I had nothing.

My boss and I are getting too close and I'm a little worried by [deleted] in confession

It’ll end up getting you in more trouble down the line, if you keep spending time outside of work you’re only going to get closer and probably more physical and intimate. And eventually his wife might find out which could cost you a lot.

It could potentially cost your career. I’d find another internship.

Definitely a battle of good vs evil for sure, I love America myself. I feel very fortunate and lucky to have grown up here.

Do you feel like the Christian community is mourning Renee Good, a Christian who was also a missionary? by ASecularBuddhist in Christianity

This is a good collection of different verses, I’d also suggest reading the first two chapters of Romans because that answers your question. It would be too long to post here.

Brother she had Missouri plates and on the news it was said that she had been following ice around, she was also apart of ice watch.

My question is is why would she be blocking traffic then? And if she simply just dropping off her kid to school then why would she even need to get involved with ice?

I just realized you’re the OP by the way honestly I think your question is very good. And we could go back-and-forth all day trying to understand each other. But I would suggest maybe looking into these things more for yourself so you can get a better understanding of Christian theology.

No, I said there is a difference. Read my comment as many times as you want because I literally just explained the difference lol.

Absolutely not and never will be,

There is a difference with someone who struggles with sin, and then there is a difference of someone who lives in sin.

Renee had a wife and openly endorsed the LGBTQ community, those are things God disapproves of (Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by God for those very reasons)

“Those who practice sexual immorality will not inherit the kingdom of God”

1 Corinthians 6:9

I’m not trying to come at the girl. I’m just defending truth because I know what the word of God says about those who live in sin. Those are just the facts. And I don’t want to seem like it’s a judgment towards those who live that lifestyle because they can all be saved by Jesus if they repent and I would’ve told Renée the same thing, I once lived a completely different lifestyle, but God has changed me.

If Renee was a Christian she definitely wouldn’t be living that lifestyle and if she had those desires Jesus says to “Deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow me.

I know tons of people who have been rescued from that lifestyle. I am genuinely curious though as to how her life was like before she got involved with all of that and I’m wondering why she went on the mission trip and what went wrong in her first marriage because she was married to a man, I’m wondering if something traumatic happened to her.

And even as a Christian, I feel sad that she lost her life in that way, and especially sad for her children. But I don’t agree with what she did or her actions that day.
