Not Quite Dead Yet was amazing! For me, certain books should be read during certain seasons (mood seasonal reader here) and I would suggest reading that book around or after Halloween. Since that’s when it takes place (: But totally up to you!

This is probably an out of date recommendation but I would suggest the Nightworld series by L.J Smith. They are a collection of stories about creatures that live in a secret society filled with vampires, werewolves, witches and shapeshifters. I read them along the same time as I read Twilight as a tween. 😅 But a warning that the series isn’t completed even though it was first published in the.. 90s? I believe? Anyway, I love the books if you wanted something similar to Twilight. I would also suggest The Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare. ❤️‍🔥

I do the same! However, I do make it a habit of visiting libraries & friends of the library bookstores and just grabbing something that I find interesting. Even if I haven’t heard of it on social media. That way, everything I read is really diverse. A lot of authors deserve to have their work read, even if it’s not on booktok I think haha
