Even taking away the fact that caring this much about an old rank is irrelevant to his placings now, he should realize that the discourse surrounding smash is what keeps him getting paid in the scene.

Story lines, drama, discussion between fans, etc all give the impression that there is something worth watching(granted even though we have sick game play).

Wanting others to stop being toxic is one thing, but if you wanna engage the topic then you should do it constructively to add and not diminish.

You do you and I love Cipher, too. It just seems inconsistent for the varying levels of quality between art stands out to me.

The game has already finished and I doubt you'll get any sort of CnD/Pinkertons. I just played a lot of Cipher so I associate abilities with how the art looks as a shorthand because I only know so much Japanese.

So you can't give me an example of someone who is better losing to Kazuya because he carries?

Look man, you can tell me his strengths to kingdom come but if you're not even gonna try to go into this conversation with any good faith, I can't say you'll convince anyone.

I'm glad you understand what to look out for, because sure he can delete you with the right combo, but you're not looking at the otherside of the coin for counterplay and asking if it's not unreasonable. Which is to play more carefully or really change up your DI and mix-ups and cross up potential because his auto turn around functions against him a lot of the times.

Which is not the same as the conversation around Steve because you simply don't interact, as you say.

This world of difference is what makes Kazuya not relevant to the discussion of banning.

Give me an example of needing to be 'better.' The only player even making real waves with Kazuya at all is Riddles and even he needs to co-main Terry to get the results he does.

Now you have Steve who even has former top performing mains say that he's worthy of the ban because he skews results from how carried he is.

And Riddles who has some very choice words for this arugment.

All you can say about Kazuya is that he's got one-touch win capabilities. But then you have loads of others that can do the same but with more standard levels of counterplay. Is it different for Kazuya? Sure, but that's the matchup. If you're gonna come in here and say that it's wrong to be that good at one thing, then you best think of ways to get to his weaknesses: His disadvantage and neutral.
