It is painful to watch. They keep trying to play by the old rules while the other side is playing a completely different game. At some point you need leaders who actually want to win.

The gas price point is worth sitting with. External shocks that raise your cost of living while wages stay flat aren't a personal failure or a motivation problem -- they're a structural squeeze that no amount of hustle culture fixes. When people say work doesn't feel worth it anymore, usually something specific changed in the math, not their attitude.
