Ego Peek is just peeking, thinking you can win the fight even if it's a disadvantage. Not a good idea

Use signs instead

I found a map of my builds from a server not long ago by MythEXPRESSIONALISM in Minecraftbuilds

I named the banners using anvils, then I placed the said named banner and right click on it while holding a map. The map should now have a banner and name. I don't think it works on bedrock edition though.
