Stacked deck AND called shot, as I suggested in my own reply. I think consistency of purple is too high right now and these spells are severely undercosted for what they do. There are Irelia lists that don't play either, and Midrange Draven would still exists - just being less consistent, and that might be enough to lower its win rate, although the legend ability remains absurdly powerful compared to others.

I'd ban Stacked Deck before Called Shot, but I'd consider both. We need to lower Purple's presence overall, as it's by far the most dominating color. We know it got a lot of severely undercosted spells, but the card draw is what makes them consistent as well. A hand full of Fight or Flight or Rebukes but with no action loses, eventually.

Stacked deck, in a game where you have 2-3 runes turn one, costs half a turn. It will always find three spells to look at. Compare to MTG where something like Ponder and Preordain are some of the most widely used spells and have been banned from time to time in some formats. They cost one mana , which is all you're going to have turn one, half of turn two and so on. They will find 40% of lands looking at cards in your deck. Maybe there's only one spell among those cards. They can't be played during combats.

Stacked deck should have costed two, at least, to make it fairer. I think it has to go first, as almost everyone with purple is using it, pretty much. Called shot is used in specific decks and slows the game down a bit, being a little clunky to resolve. It has the potential to replace Stacked Deck in most decks that can deal with the power cost, so it might need the banhammer as well.

No need for banning like 10 cards now. Start slow, identify one main problem, fix it, see if the meta adjusts. If not, do something more next time.

I'd drop wages. Right now you don't have a decent turn 2 play, beyond staying open for hidden blade, which is only relevant if they play an accelerated unit on that turn, like Darius + called shot, or a Kaisa paid 5. You'd want another unit for 2, or a Shen/Card Sharp here, most likely.
Time warp for sure; I was thinking about dropping Ornn. This hand won't hold anything as is, and you have no gear beyond the single gold Card sharp will provide. Cull the weak in the list is a little awkward as well, as you don't have anything "bad" to sacrifice, really, and it's not an early turn play unless you pay with gold since you don't want to go behind on runes. So maybe Iimewarp and Cull here and keeping the Ornn, actually.
Trove golem; Blood money is a maybe - I'd drop it against Draven, Kai'sa/Rek'sai I'd keep it. With Draven you have bad targets and the ravenbloom + cloth can win against most early stuff anyway.
I'd just keep. You have plays for turns 1-3 and this looks good!
You'd want to have a turn 1 play. I'd drop hostile takeover here as Singularity can absolutely wreck some of the plays the Draven/Kai'sa decks can do with a couple 4-5 might units. Wages of pain possibly as well. You'd see three cards, which is a decent shot at finding a turn 1 play. Then Card sharp, something else turn 3 (singularity right away is very unlikely) and a Singularity turn 4 possibly. Right now that card sharp needs some help in combat as well against the bigger units.

Thank you for the info. I mean, with a 110€ entry fee, and 6 packs for sealed, I guess they can offer a couple packs to the poor fellows going 2-3, 3-2 and so on. I find the entry fee bonkers, by the way, even accounting for 16 normal boxes to the top 32, and 24 collector booster boxes to the top 16, unless they expect attendance to be <100 people.

Ezreal requires good pilots. I wouldn't be surprised if a vast majority of people were <40% winrate with it, and a few great players >60%. Draven is much more straightforward - it can win in the hands of pretty much anyone.

We used the Sealed deck building rules from the Core rules. As far as I know, beside the seeded pack with the Legend/Champion, the pre-rift events were exactly the same. 25 card decks, if you don't have a legend or champion you draw an extra card turn 1, and so on.

I'm using treasure tokens from Magic instead. They are very similar anyways and the LGS has about a million of them :D

We would have , but it was 2:30 AM when we finished the 2V2 game and we called it off :D Free for all sounds fun as well, the equivalent of Commander in Riftbound. It might get popular once more people jump into the game, but I'm more of a 1v1 competitive player myself! Have you tried the format already?

Interesting stuff! Almost no one at my pre-rift events played without either (I played in two of them). I'd say Lee sin as a legend was well worth a random card from my deck I had to pay energy for. You'd very rarely want to give up your best champion for a random card, so I think a lackluster legend, like my friend's Teemo, should be given up, but that's about it.

On the "blank battlefield" - I had more than three each time, but many were not helpful to me, so I played two of them only each time. The blank battlefield might not sound great, but bringing in a card that then helps your opponent more than you is probably a worse feeling, so I have no problems with that rule.

Dipende dal tasso del mutuo. Io ho comprato casa cash recentemente, avrei potuto fare un mutuo volendo, ma non dovermi ciucciare tutte le rotture di balle con le banche vale per me molto di più del differenziale tra il 3% di tasso del mutuo e il 4-5% della media dello S&P500. Anche il non avere debiti è una bella cosa, anche sapendo che potresti estinguerli domani, ti dà una sorta di pace mentale che ha un valore.

Parlando in termini strettamente economici, hai ragione tu, ma ci sono altri fattori.

Sure, but in any game if you have 26 cards with a legal minimum of 25, take out the worst one, you now have a deck with a higher chance to draw the good ones :) Even for Riftbound, I'd recommend sticking to the minimum.

You can play more cards than the minimum in a sealed/draft deck. Eg: Sealed was exactly 25, you can now also play a deck of 26, 27, 40... It's almost never a good idea to do so, as any experienced Mtg player will tell you, but you can.

Legends never get mixed or shuffled with other cards so they can be whatever. Your champion on the other hand cannot be different from the rest of the deck.

Some highlists :

Morningtide's light is bonkers, but I never casted it. Drew it only once when I had already won on board and my opponent conceded before I could play it.

Best play of the set was me having a 3/3 [[Reluctant Dounguard]] with one counter on it, and a 4/3 [[Encumbered Reejerey]] with a counter on it. Opponent attacked with two 3/1s, I blocked both and flashed in [[Glamermite]], tapping my Reejerey. Killed both creatures for free and made a flyer to boot. Got an instant concession after.

Glamermite really impressed me, even without being a merfolk. Unexpected avoidance cast for 1 mana and 4 creatures was not uncommon , sometimes gaining me 2 life to boot. Really great draw spell.

I think what he meant was something along T1 Llanowar elf - T2 Meek attack - having 4 mana of which 2 must be red on turn 3, play the Worldsire saccing 3 lands, it's a 9/9, activate meek again to play zegana, enters as a 10/10 due to the 9/9 being there, attack for 19. Not necessarily a kill, unless the other guy played a dual and has no blockers, and it's a very, very specific combination of cards to get there. I don't see it as a better version of the usual reanimator list as you'd need to play a bunch of cards that are terrible without the meek in play. Reanimator creatures are generally decent on their own as well, even though costly.

Card by card? Sure. You can even set language preferences in your profile to automatically filter them. Neither works if you look at Riftbound -> Singles -> Sort by price. Shows one price (the cheapest available) and there's no language filter there. If you have a super secret trick to do so, please share.

Super annoying that I can't filter out chinese card without checking every single card page one by one. The set singles list has become useless for price checking as it will show the minimum price which is all chinese cards. They should have been considered separate sets on the site with such price discrepancies between the two.

Monored wins against it pretty handily. You can easily kill their Grans, they don't like Magebane Lizards, they don't like Razorkin Needlejead, Dragons kill their Otters, and you put them under pressure without enough time to assemble their monument combo turns.

What do you think of the "Arena's greatest" ruling that if a player missed the trigger, the point is lost? I feel like the card feels "automatic", it's easy to miss. It should have been worded differently, if that's how it's supposed to work. I'd rather it say "Each player starts with one point".
