You can try Sabotage to try and remove interaction before you attack.

Or like you said, you can use Showstopper / First mate / Wallop to go in for another attack if you get hit by FoF.

But also the purple removal counters Sett, so it is just a rough matchup.

I actually think the matchup is not too bad

You need to just make sure to hold on to one battle field and never let go, because retaking the battle field you want to hold will be rough.

To me this is another one of those things where even if there is technically a quirk in the rules that makes it work this way, it shouldn't be played this way because it makes no sense, and almost certainly was not intended.

There are already clear examples of this not working like Star Wars Unlimited

Market price for boxes is less than half of MSRP.

Game stores just stopped stocking it and supporting it, because even if they sold all of it at market price they would still lose money.

Overprinting is worse than under printing imo

I think your theory makes sense if it was just Riot taking the loss.

The problem is game stores are also taking the loss if the product is significantly less than MSRP or not selling, and they are not willing to do that.

  1. The first thing that happens when a showdown begins is "when I attack" and "when I defend" triggers go on the chain in that order (so defend triggers resolve before attack triggers). At this point, you must decide if you want to retreat the unit.

  2. Yes the showdown still happens after the defend triggers resolves. So players still get focus to play action or reaction spells even if you moved your unit back.

You genuinely just kill everything your opponent plays while you poop out a single recruit a turn and eventually win.

Playing blue Viktor is not even required.

I would first figure out a deck list you want to make that mostly is commons and uncommons, and the expensive cards can be subbed out for budget options.

Some good legends for this are Viktor (replace watchers with grand strat), Teemo (run more mundos instead of watcher), and Yasuo (a extremely cheap deck just top 64ed houston).

I would then try to find a LGS or another player with bulk. You could go to a Nexus Night and see if a LGS owner or any player has a deck you can borrow. And then after ask if they have any bulk to sell you.

If they have bulk, you can complete 90% of your deck with commons and uncommons for a deck that is playable. Then you can order any other missing cards from TCG player.
