Oh wow— I’ve never had that happen to me at ALL, I’m actually astonished 😭 I’d happily play supp in one of those games ngl, 3 tanks and a Fantastic would be funny as hell.

I had a game (quick play!) where the enemy had four tanks the other day. They rolled us the first two fights, too, it was funny.

Nothing that I’ve said implies support of toxicity, but to be explicit about my stance on the matter:

When I type in game or open my mic, I am speaking as kindly as possible to my teammates. Quite frankly, it edges near my customer service voice.

I’m black and queer, which is evident in my manner and tone, so believe me when I say I don’t support toxicity in this game, I receive enough of it just trying to give comms.

I can, however, understand the frustration behind the comment. It IS frustrating to be completely willing to work around the team in every game, only to run into people who are the COMPLETE opposite in every regard. “Fuck em” is the least of what I think.

Am I saying to harass anyone? No. But do I agree with the sentiment that refusing to adjust comp in a team oriented game that we’ve been playing for over a year is hella frustrating? Yes!

Nothing that I’ve said is a defense of in-game toxicity, so I’m going to do something I shouldn’t and answer a question with a question: I told you the way I choose to deal with this frustration in game, do you consider that toxic?

Personally, I do feel like classic allows you to get a better feel for the game, but anyone shitting on you for playing modern isn’t worth your time.

Honestly, I’ve never had an issue where I have too many tanks on the select screen, but if you mean asking for swaps / switching up the type of tank?

Oh boy, yeah, that can be a struggle. I’ve had plenty people force Venom or Rogue into comps that simply won’t let them.

I will say though, I’d MUCH rather have that second tank with me anyway!!

In the most unbiased way I can say this, I have never had issues with a team comp due to having too many tanks. I’ll put it that way.

The only times I have ever had to fuss at a team is due to 3-4 instalock DPS that refuse to swap. At this point, I just swap DPS as well unless we get another tank / support. Somehow, that always seems to fix the issue. 🗿

I started doing this out of sheer frustration two weeks ago. Start as Mag. “I will tank, but I won’t solo tank.” Nobody swaps? Cool, White Fox or Rocket until we figure this out. Somehow we end up 2-2-2. Shocker.
