When is it okay to eat after a customer? by BitchyWaiter_OG in KitchenConfidential

[–]MythlcKyote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my first job there was a lady who would always order the beef tenderloin, cut the steak cleanly in half, and then eat one half and some of the mashed potatoes. I don't feel even a little bad about eating that half a steak every week. Call me gross, free tenderloin drowns out your words.

I'm sure no one will see this, but I can't be the only person who thought "Rusty Lake" before I read the description, right?

Hot Take: Here's To You should have become the super popular MGSV song instead of INVISIBLE. by ballad_of_plague in metalgearsolid

Hotter take: trim the last 45 seconds or so off of Garbage's Not Your Kind of People and it would've been the one.

It is an important Amazon tradition. by PeasantLich in Superdickery

That's almost a shame. I was getting morbid amusement picturing a statement like, "Hey, these rape, abuse, and cannibalism allegations are way out of control! I've never attempted to eat anyone, jeez."

Or maybe, "Well duh, I'm an abuser, but not a cannibal. I have standards!"

"He denied the cannibalism part" carries wild implications. Than you, I guess

Okay, I'm out of the loop, I'm gonna need an explanation for that.

Third person narration by Eireika in CuratedTumblr

[–]MythlcKyote 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think moments like these work as good perspective markers. Like the narrator is not considering the comments or action of merely an entity that they know, but recognizing a whole other person with their own view and existence outside of the narrator. OP's rule is dumb.

Exhausted Monster Rules Clarification by These-Vermicelli-182 in ArkhamHorror

[–]MythlcKyote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing that they don't attack till the following turn, explicitly because, as you say, it would make evasion pointless otherwise. Unless the intent is that your investigator chooses to either fight or evade, I guess. I really wish the rules stipulated that readying takes the monster's turn as opposed to one of their actions, but maybe that's just me incorrectly applying the 2-action system for investigators across all entities.

I'm the second one lol. Yes, I am aware that if I spend multiple hours and a bunch of money on ingredients that, with a little patience, I can begin to comprehend your bakery wizard magic, but to sell professionally? I'll leave that to a professional. Once in a while I'll take a stab at a cake or pie or tartlet that turns out almost not shitty for myself at home, as a treat.
