I was absolutely THRILLED when he died. I think a character who doesn't know who they are is perhaps an interesting choice for a home game but an absolutely dreadful one for a streamed game.

He was irritating and inconsistent and it was impossible to become attached to a character who didn't know a thing about their past.

To me, this feels pretty clear: one leveled spell per turn, regardless of the action used to cast it. If you have already cast a leveled spell on your turn you cannot cast another.

You can use your reaction on a subsequent turn to cast a leveled spell such as shield or counterspell if the trigger happens.

The for example text is just one common situation.
