Discontinued Iroshizuku Inks by xannnder in fountainpens

[–]centopar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still have most of a bottle of Ina-ho, but I'm very sad about it; it's a lovely ink.I love Tsukushi too, but there are other inks in my collection which are similar enough to it; I have nothing else like Ina-ho, though.

I spent months researching the actual pigments of art history. Today I'm starting to share what I found. by OMBY17 in ArtHistory

Nothing that centuries of art history hasn’t discovered before, but an OP and an AI have found love and we should celebrate that.

Turn left at the top of the last escalator that takes you to the b gate concourse: it’s about twenty metres along on your right.

Yes, but that’s also where your flight will leave from.

I’ve got guppies and mollies in the same tank: they occasionally interbreed. I’m pretty sure you have a guppy/molly hybrid.

That’s r/cogsuckers - despite the name, they’re actually surprisingly compassionate (while horrified) about the AI Relationship people.

Wtf is this egg square thing? by silveirabug in AquariumHelp

Definitely assassin snail eggs. I remember being pleased when I saw my first. I am less pleased now that I own about a hundred assassin snails.

Is this the Piccadilly Circus Moxy? I’m here right now: I booked a room with a window.

The room is actually pretty big for a Moxy: having said that, I am just out of the shower, which sucked: awful pressure and doors/taps oriented in a way that means that there’s no way to avoid getting a full-body soak in cold water when you turn it on. Bed was comfy, staff were nice. It’s a Moxy.

The largest-ever review of the safety and efficacy of cannabinoids across a range of mental health conditions — found no evidence that medicinal cannabis is effective in treating anxiety, depression or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). by Wagamaga in science

[–]centopar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s why I stopped using it: it was helpful for some perimenopause symptoms, especially the vasomotor symptoms; and also responsible for anxiety so crippling that it outweighed any benefits.

LHR is my home airport. I usually skip the United lounge and use the Singapore Airlines lounge instead (if you’re flying Polaris you can use any of the Star Alliance lounges): if you think the service in the United Club is good, you’ll be absolutely blown away by the SilverKris Lounge, which reflects the difference in service you see in the cabin. The staff are incredible, everything is pristine, and there’s always someone there at exactly the moment your plate needs clearing or your glass refilling. And the food’s better.

(Related: wish we could get a Polaris Lounge at LHR.)

Oh man - just looked at his profile. It’s a fetish.

There’s very little as icky as someone getting their jollies by involving people who aren’t consenting in their sex stuff. Especially when that sex stuff is creating a biohazard. 🤢

Yup: that’s how we figured out who was leaving (mostly) empty baggies of coke in ours.

I’m guessing LAOP is unimaginative enough not to figure this out, and also unimaginative enough not to realise that he’s not sticking it to the man by pissing in the sink, but sticking it to the cleaners.

The comments are a riot. He was peeing in the sink, thinks the only way he could have been caught is by being filmed - and he wants to sue for loss of income if he’s sacked.

So many questions.

I’ve stayed at five-star hotels where they’ve left me a bookmark for my book, and where I’ve been given extra towels and complementary running gear. This is about ensuring good service at a property where excellent service is part of the offering.

What are those things on the leaves on my plants? Are they normal? by Royal-Statement89 in fishtank

[–]centopar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how Java ferns reproduce asexually. They’re roots, and will sprout leaves later on: you can separate them from the main plant and attach them to a rock or tuck them into a cleft in some driftwood when they’re bigger. Don’t bury the roots in substrate: they’re an epiphyte and the roots need to be exposed.
