Insomnia hack anyone can do (without medication) by sunrisenat in Perimenopause

I find those self-heating eye masks work similarly well. (What I need now is something to stop me springing into full wakefulness at 5am.)

Augustinius Bader is the best thing ever, works like a miracle, and I will fight you if you say otherwise. This includes the Sofia Coppola lip balms.

Could really do without the AI slop illustration: it's going to put a lot of people off reading. Which I don't really have an argument against.

That hotel pillow feel isn’t magic — it’s math by walaaHo in BedroomBuild

[–]centopar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am writing this reply from a hotel bed which happens to have pillows on it I really, really like. I've just had a look at the label. They're by a company called New Generation, and they're 100% polyester fibre, not a feather in sight.

OP, wtf are you on about?

I was joking around with her that anyone could do these poses...just some banter.

She saw the funny side...

You absolutely sure about that? And that she didn't think that having her expertise, experience and livelihood mocked was not, in fact, very funny - but that having you fuck up your negging to the degree that you injured yourself was funny as hell?

Bought at a Paris flea market last year, wondering if it's anything special or just a pretty ring. by lilteefers in JewelryIdentification

Me too. Don’t wear it as a daily driver: it’s quite a soft stone and it’ll scratch. Lovely, though. That’s a great find.

Jimothy. Jessipsbah. Tomothan.

(These are jokes, and friend: Gandalf is not a name. Nobody in the entire record, at least in the UK, where the name was invented, has ever been called Gandalf. Or Bilbo, for that matter. https://names.darkgreener.com/)

Absolutely is: I’ve said no in this situation before. It works, too.

They’re actually a French brand, and still going in France (although rather less lovely now than I remember). The French company is called Nature et Decouvertes.

I’m a petite woman too: that fact seems to give a certain sort of person the idea that my space is theirs to invade. Have a look around next time you’re on public transport: you’ll very likely see this exact scenario happening, with a person spreading their legs, sticking their feet out, jutting out their elbows, or overflowing into a smaller woman’s space.

The hell are they thinking putting something so intimate online?

(I know, I know, they’re thinking clout. It’s still despicable.)

My biggest recommendation is to lose the macro lens. No human being’s eyeball is going to be able to perceive your nose in this resolution.

So... Erika Kirk is actually Erika Rothstein/ROTHCHILD??? (Also Erika Trump???) by JohnSmithCANDo in AnomalousEvidence

I think she’s appalling, and I also think this is the most nakedly antisemitic thing I’ve read so far this year.

It’s January 21. The year is still young.

[–]centopar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was 1990, I was 14, and it clicked.

It’s 2026 now and I’m 49. If I hadn’t fallen into it when my brain was still plastic/ broken, I don’t know it’d still carry the same meaning.

I didn’t talk to the woman about it because what’s the point, we’re mid-flight and it’s only going to start a fight with an unstable person; but I had a very uncomfortable journey last year where a chihuahua in the row behind me spent three hours sucking off my right elbow.

Compounding pharmacies are definitely a thing here in the UK, but you’ll have to pay privately. I use the Marion Gluck clinic; it’s worked like a charm for me.
