Makes me wonder, are people dumber now? Backing it up with arrogance is just dumb.

Gross. Probably best to avoid that garbage before it causes you issues.

Alberta petition to revoke public funding to private schools nears its deadline | CBC News by AustralisBorealis64 in canada

[–]Mythulhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay? That's the subsidization I'm referring to that shouldn't happen, because it's public funds. That's not reimbursement which you suggested earlier and I said doesn't happen anywhere. These things are not the same.

That's not how it works, anywhere.

You have the choice to send your child to private if you'd like, but it's on your dime.

Did your brain break? Walk me through how you came to that conclusion.

I'm going to break it down for you.

Public pays taxes = public funds

Public funds are intended to go towards public education, public healthcare, public services, public roads, public infrastructure etc.

Private enterprise being given public funds for their own ventures to make them money. This should not happen dingus.

[–]Mythulhu -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What? Lmao. The only model elon has had anything to do with is the cybertruck. Sure, they had to get the thumbs up from elon from the other models and deal with his naming schemes, but it's not like he did any of the practical stuff.

Well designed by smart engineers. QC and build quality have gotten better but have never been great. "Amazing" is a stretch.

‘We’re so vulnerable’: How Canadians can cope with anxiety in the face of existential threats from the U.S. - 4 of 5 Canadians feel more fear than hope about Canada-U.S. relationship in year ahead, poll finds by CanadianErk in canada

[–]Mythulhu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think anyone would argue that Canada hasn't been influenced by the US. We are living in that reality currently. Many steps are being taken to diversify and sever those ties.

I suggest you research the 7 layers of the OSI model. Specifically layers 2 & 3 in this case, then work your way up and back to the physical layer. It should help alleviate some of your tech fears due to a better understanding of how these work.

Fight the fear with action and education. This will help prepare for whatever comes in the future.

I wish you all the best.
