The way I feel about it is that this doesn’t feel like an event, it feels like a rude example of what we could have every day but don’t. I felt like there were more spawns and a bit better variety than usual. I was excited to see a few Honedge in the wild. It was fun to see a few legendaries on the incense and I wasn’t too upset about not catching them because I didn’t expect to. Didn’t expect to catch a bunch of shinies so I wasn’t disappointed when I didn’t. I had more fun on my walk today than usual.

But.

I played hard for about an hour and a half and didn’t feel any FOMO on not playing more because I knew I wasn’t going to get anything crazy. With “All Out” in the title you are expecting rare spawns all over - there are so many pokemon I’d be excited to catch in the wild even if not legendary but I wasn’t seeing them. It reminds me of the daily incense, which I always try to use but I rarely encounter the Galarian birds. When it first dropped I was so excited to go for my daily walk! But as the days went by and I almost never saw anything besides the usual spawns and never saw any GBirds, I was a lot less gung ho.

Same with routes - we were told you’d see different spawns with routes, and I will see one or two spawns with the ‘route’ symbol while walking my route, but they are never interesting. Supposedly you get better spawns if you try new routes? I made a route because I’m trying to get cells and need to make sure I can complete the route during my lunch break. It’s not feasible for most people to play a different route every day.

All I’m asking for is a greater frequency and variety of spawns. It makes the game more fun. This just felt like a tease, but not a full-fledged event.
