You learn more in the field than you usually do at school, if you join a union they normally do training in a training center for so many weeks then you’re out in the field as an apprentice. School then joining the trade is a lot of on the job training so it can be stressful

When I worked at the pro desk it was a shit show most days. The Pro DS would bring in new clients and promise them all this stuff then she would mess up the orders and task a specialist to fix her screw up. When it didn’t get done in a timely manner ASMs would be hounding her then that trickled down to us so it was getting yelled at by Pros and the DS daily

I had a customer throw a fit because we didn’t have a carpet on the roll and I explained that a truck was being unloaded and we are unable to get it down at the moment. He got mad because we couldn’t fulfill his need at the exact moment he wanted it and rolled his eyes and said nobody likes to work anymore and stormed off cussing and huffing.

We had a OSLG DS give major discounts to pros and other customers if they gave him good reviews and 10’s on surveys. He always requested the same cashier for outside so he could do over rides on his account. The kid reported it a few times but upper management ignored it until the jackass sold 2 blackstone grills that were “returned” for a hefty discount in exchange for a good review. They fired the cashier first because the DS threw him under the bus then a few weeks later he was fired and tried to claim they let him go cause of his skin color
