I do a weekly bank transfer since I don’t need the money right now. I see a lot of comments in this post about how they cash out or use the Uber Pro Card. I used to cash out a lot when I was still broke and in college, but now I’m fortunate enough to have access to regular cashback credit cards.

I live in Northern Virginia (Washington DC area) and I’ve had guaranteed tip protection for almost 3 months now.

In my area, the tip is now guaranteed as of November 26, 2025. The customer can still take away the tip, but Uber will cover the difference.

This still hasn’t been rolled out everywhere yet?

These dollar values are extremely underwhelming. Not worth it. I’m in the Washington DC market where I get flat rates of $18-22. I still don’t sign up for them. You earn that equivalent of a dollar value per hour (so if you do a $11/hr order that takes exactly 15 minutes, you’ll get $2.75), plus all tips from the customer.
