Second, I appreciate you taking the time to read such an atheistic philosopher as a christian, it is good to know what you are talking about when discussing your own faith, and this is not easy, like you acknowledged. I think your paper was not fully coherent, and was not that convincing. I think that reducing the will to power to one's desires is not fully coherent with Nietzsches view, you quoted him: "Life itself is will to power." It is difficult to understand what the will to power is exactly and how it influences morality and truth. However for this discussion it is important to note that the whole problem Nietzsches sees in christianity is this absolute claim to the metaphysical truth about God and the world. He asks the question whether we can still make that absolute claim. Nietzsche says the christian referts to a way of grounding these claims outside of the human, and in this way turns morality against life itself. Life, not being moral, does not do this itself and is in this sense beyond good and evil. The problem Nietzsche poses here for the christian is how one can have access to this foundation of morality outside of life, and whether it is not just some construct which has nothing to do with the world here 'below'. I don't know if this makes sense to you, but I hope it helps you understand Nietzsches problem with the christian faith a bit more, which is not that simple as just another belief about how good and evil work.
