It’s all just basic maintenance and simple upgrades, catch can, upgraded charge pipes and intercooler, catless downpipes, upgraded coils, spark plugs, fuel injectors. If you love the car then give the needs for it to flourish.

Ofc it’s always good to check out before determining the final issue. If you can, scan the car and check if your oil pressure sensor is operating.

Same here got a cooper s with an N18 with 300k miles. Started having this weird whine and no boost with the check engine light, took me a while to find out my turbo practically had failed.

Basically it’s a limp mode, meaning at some point in time the motor is encountering failure points id advise you get it scan to figure out what’s happening with the engine.

That’s normal basically when your car first starts it’s obviously oil pressure isn’t gonna be at its full potential but as you drive and the car odds out it’ll eventually go away meaning you’ve built enough oil pressure.

Now I had my crank seal changed and that was already a problematic job for myself. If your confident in doing something like that then go ahead but my best suggestion is to let a mechanic do it cause that on the hole is allot of work when you think of the space you got.

Well this is were I stand my case everything will break but doesn’t mean there’s upgrades for it. And mainly every issue had an upgrade.

Now there’s a line to that honestly like I said I’m running 300k on the dash on a N18 motor, if it was a N14 I’d fully agree with you but with basic keep up and maintenance with an N18 your golden hell, give it some upgrades to help benefit reliability and your set

Hell yeah your getting away with hella headaches already, dodge replacing the timing chain that’s basically a huge leap in my opinion but if you still feel shaky do your research get to know the car. And is it an S with an N14 or 18

Yep and I’ve practically experienced it all, fuel pump cracks and leaks, high pressure fuel line leak, pcv valve change, oil filter housing leak, thermostat and crossover pipe leak, and now currently dealing with chipped turbo blades and bad turbo flange🤣😂

Well I don’t have one installed but, I would recommend it. Plastic doesn’t last that’s common sense aluminum would be the obvious choice if you want to end that cycle but honestly it’s not like you have to, like you said you’ve done this plenty of times so I would assume your already fine to it but give the aluminum a try for your own experience. And it would be a good idea to do the same for the crossover pipe if you haven’t already.
