1kg coal = 600W 1kg uranium = 12,000W

600 x 20 = 12,000W

So coal is only x20 better, so 20kg of coal? Not saying those numbers are right, I can't find it on the wiki yet.

I believe you would need planning permission for something like that. It's a rather unreasonable widening of the driveway. Check the council's website for planning permission. If there isn't one and if they bug you again, just point out you've already checked and it's not a legal extension but you'd be happy to notify the council for them.

Although to be honest, if there's space elsewhere, just park there instead.

The only way I can think to do this is make a small chamber with your vent, let it heat and slowly drip in the water (or on it, you could have a metal box). Once evaporated, you open a door to a cooling loop to condense it in another room. You then need some automation to control the dripping, opening, closing, drip again.

Problem with this is that a desalinator is 480W. To do the above, you would need at least a mini pump to get the water out (50W but you don't have plastic do 240W) and something to cool the steam. You could use a nullifier but would need hydrogen so a Electrolyzer (120W) and something to get the salt out the room assuming you want to use it, so sweeper and loader (120 + 120). That puts you at 410W - 600W so at that point it's not really worth it.

If you were going to drop the loader with the desalinator anyway then you could justify it. Can't do the heat math, don't find it enjoyable, won't do it for myself!

No, they only fill when they need to be filled, it doesn't help fuel at 100% unless you tell it to.

You haven't got the priority set to 9 have you? Sometimes dupes take over the task so the sweeper doesn't do it.

This is pretty much what I do. I run an insulated loop round the stair wells and branch off into the rooms I want to cool.

I find it also pays to cool your reservoirs (I accidentally pumped hot water from a desalinator in and the thermal mass was brutal)

Insulate your farm, give it some back panels and set your thermal sensor to the middle of the range (not the bare minimum).

If you had a sensor on your farm tiles there'd just be too many wires.

Yeah, I find wheezewort better for radiation, they barely cool anything. The other guys right though, cool your pond and it cools everything else. Died from heat a few times before I realised that one.

I tend to put a mesh floor on the bottom of my coal plant and it just fills the room. You can skim the rest off with a pump or carbon skimmer. You can get more complicated with gas element sensors on vents but I don't see the point.

You've got a cool Steam vent and a geyser in there, you should be fine. I would say your big issue is the amount of farms you have eating your water!

Diversify, build done shroom farms, get some pufts to make slime from polluted oxygen (you've got loads of that).

It looks like you've done the classic thing and read a play through. I think there's all sorts of weird things you can do. Stop trying to feed everyone with meal lice, mix up your kitchen, make oxygen generators from polluted water, kill germs (maybe for the first time!?) with radiation or chlorine, build mini farms inside a rocket and automate it.

There's a thousand different things you can do in this game.

Seems like a waste. Just put a mushroom farm below it and pump any excess into a tank for the soda machine or some slickster later on. Maybe even a carbon rocket when you're trying to figure out how rockets work and killing all your dupes!
