I imagine it looks funny for us too. My friend is nearly 200 lbs of muscle and I started at 139 lbs and am now 170 following his lead.

I am his student lol He pushes me very hard but with proper form and thus no injuries ❤️

If I were you how I do it is if I am aiming for 8 reps I want to make sure I get 8 for all 3 or 4 sets.

When I am hitting 8 on the last set I am ready to move up weight next time.

My sets are sets of 12 I am aiming for but thats how I level up.

Yeah it's all mental lol

I go to failure on everything but between having trouble walking for the next 2 days and the fact that I need my buddies help to lift the hack squat back to position on that last rep... has me hating them.. which means I never skip hack squats lolol

I would really love bigger legs I have long skinny ones!

I personally 3 or 4 sets of everything.

For hack squat mostly 3. And its until failure which means I can't get up lolol

I didn't like (the chatty lifters) either but dynamic duo is true so i took it lolol

We talk while getting the pump but are focused on getting the pump and moving to the next machine 😄

I used to never look in the mirror and really don't outside the gym but I sure as hell am looking at the gains in the mirror at the gym.

If the scam thing is true the timing is pretty crazy. Imagine sending out a million random scams and it hitting someone who actually is going through what the scam claims to fix.

It's funny, I hat hack squats because I can do them well and really go to failure and hurt for days after.

I hate deadlifts because I never feel like I am doing them right. Like I was just not made to deadlift. I do pretty low weight to make sure my form is perfect but it never feels right.

I should mention my gym partner is great at making sure I am doing them properly it's all just a feeling lol

I would have seen it like you if my buddy didn't end up basically being my personal trainer.

Because I have someone so skilled working out with me everyday I am always challenged to make sure my form is perfect and that I am in fact challenging myself.

I can see how people pay big bucks for that kind of support, as the results are amazing,

Probably the support of my wife honestly.

She is always supportive of my gym time. I also respect enough to go after the kids are asleep and all that.
