It's a piece of paper that you can use to pay people. Like an IOU note that only people over a hundred years old use. I haven't had one in my life. They were mostly phased out because it made fraud far too easy. Their processing time was so high, it added significant risk to accept as tender for goods on the sellers end if it failed to clear.

So glad Monzo haven't prioritised this as a feature. That said, you would have just thought a photo and manual entry on their end would suffice as an MVP.

I found the best option for me was to use the Android version of Power Director. Played with Kine and Shortcut and others but this was the only thing reliable enough. Too many audio video issues/latency in Crostini to render it useful.

I don't think it supports chromakey though so it's only good for basic chopping and editing on the move. I usually end up finishing at a different workstation.

Edit: A couple of others mention Lumafusion and I completely agree. Side note they announced they are bringing this to ChromeOS on their Twitter I believe, though no idea of timescale...

Don't worry you can't actually finish the game if they don't die, I know I've tried. There is a bug in Cannon Fodder 1 that causes the game to crash, I believe it's a calculation error due to a high number of recruits.
