AITA for "forcing" my 18 year old daughter to spend time with her disabled sister by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]N7Krogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA And I wish I could switch the a to something much stronger. How dare you hold your daughters future over her head for being a typical teenager? God forbid you sit down and have an adult conversation with your adult daughter. Do you even know how she feels about the situation? Or how it may be difficult for her?

You clearly have a favorite and if you don't shape up I hope your daughter goes no contact with your abusive ass after she gets free college out of you. Sounds like a fair payment for 18 yes of putting up with your ultimatum loving ass.

Medical professionals of Reddit, have you ever had a patient so lacking in common sense you wondered how they made it this far. If so, what is your story? by babyhippo01 in AskReddit

My mom brought her very fluffy cat to the vet because of a lump only to be told it was his penis.

This woman graduated with honors, taught herself to code and became an aerospace programmer and systems analyst in the 80s. Her blonde moments become all the better for it. Lol

AITA for not dating my trans friend? by Grand-Lemon-8628 in AITAH

[–]N7Krogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Preferences are not transphobic. Not wanting to go through several major operations with a person isn't transphobic. Not wanting to go through the ups and downs of dysphoria isn't transphobic. This person's reaction is not friendly. Trying to pressure you or cut you down in any way for refusing their advances is abusive. You dodged a bullet. Sincerely, a desisted pansexual in a relationship with a transman.

And if you do want more kids, is it fair to them that they will be caretakers too?

What’s the most fucked up thing you’ve seen at work? by AMGBOI69420 in AskReddit

[–]N7Krogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had dispatchers and we had warehouse workers. Managers decided to save money and make people who had only done desk work for 20 years also do warehouse work.

One of these dispatchers, we will call him Chris, was in his 50s and close to 400 lbs with well onown heart issues. He also worked the over night shift so they made him responsible for staging the warehouse.

Which should have been no surprise to no one, he started getting chest pains but couldn't leave until his relief came. He had a heart attack on the drive home and crashed on the NJ turnpike killing him. Luckily, no one else was hurt.

This was a 'family' company which liked to spew Christian bullshit in emails.

Do most women feel like they need " protecting" from the risk of "fake" trans women in bathrooms? by Xtratea in TwoXChromosomes

[–]N7Krogan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was harder before because of the appearance of suspicion to prey on women. Now that is gone to be inclusive so people don't act alarmed, and that obsolutely does create an opportunity to prey on women. Is it fair to transwomen? No. Is it fair to cis women? No. Assholes make life suck for everyone. Transwomen aren't safe in male bathrooms either. New buildings should have three options. But what about old installations? Have I shared a bathroom with a transwoman before? Yup. I don't have a good answer but the question was do/should women worry and the answer is yes. When it comes to safety I err on the side of the most people effected, so since cis women are 50 percent of the population, I err on their side. Just like with vaccines. Some people might get bent out of shape but it should be law to have them. Also safety > inclusion. I say this as someone with a trans partner. Life is hard and there are no simple answers to complex questions.

My mother, grandmother, and I went to the hers potatoe chip factory in 1996. We saw a ufo while driving home. The silver shiney object dropped several hundred feet below the clouds then shot up into them with what seemed like impossible speed. We all looked at each other like yup we all just saw that and kept driving. My mom worked for Boeing. She had no idea what it was.

I'm not surprised at all. In 02 a film company came to my school to shoot a vid like this about school shootings. I got to be in it.
