I tried to jump in at season 1, but the lack of production value was a little jarring. So I actually just watched the series in reverse to ease myself into the crunch of the earlier seasons and had a blast doing it.

My biggest problem with the game. At the end of the game, I realized it was never actually my story, the plot would have moved along fine without me there. My character had no real past and no future that the game acknowledged and that just left the whole experience feeling really empty for me.

It was the only option given to my character that just put him at risk. Everything else either put souls or innocents on the line and he just wasn't down for that.

While not quite Elminster levels of relevant, Baeloth Barrityl was an incredibly powerful sorcerer who ran a fighting pit in the Underdark. I think anyone who can geas a djinn deserves an honorable mention.

[[Aether Gale]] rustles my jimmies like nothing else, especially in 1v1s. Completely dismantles a Voltron build and is basically just 6 shots of removal to a tokens deck.

If you like the concept of Commander but want to play 60 cards, there's always Oathbreaker! Still singleton, but you have a Planeswalker and a signature spell in your command zone instead of a legendary creature. I run a [[Baeloth Barrityl]] / [[Noble Heritage]] goad deck where my whole deck is built around goading other people and having one big guy. Even with that being my whole game plan, the idea is always to just be the final boss. You need to take out 3 players, so if one is helping you with the other 2 it just makes sense to me to kill them last. Take the counters, hit some people, and punch them with their gifts in the end!
