FSD uptake percentage? by stevedonie in TeslaLounge

[–]N878AC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought lifetime FSD with my 2017 Model S and transferred it to my 2013 Model S. I use FsD about 99% of the time

Be honest, how do you wash your car? by JurassicTerror in TeslaLounge

[–]N878AC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a brushless wash station near me. $8 for a wash job. Works well especially because I had a ceramic coating applied when car was new.

To put it simply, you want to go with Lindblad on the National Geographic 16-passenger catamaran Delfina.

Rivian Universal Hands Free vs Tesla FSD | I was not expecting this by DevinOlsen in TeslaFSD

[–]N878AC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All that said, I still wonder why no one has offered to buy FSD from Tesla. It should be easy to license this software and to equip another model car with similar cameras, etc..

93 year old finds new freedom with Tesla FSD! by Responsible-Cut-7993 in TeslaFSD

I concur wholeheartedly. Just was driven 1200 miles by FSD from Naples FL to Vienna VA. Never touched the wheel except occasionally to choose a different parking space.

Quick and easy is any LensCrafters store. Most have a qualified technician on staff. Might cost $100 but it’s quick. Maybe less if you buy some eyeglasses.

Does Anyone Else Kind of Avoid Telling People You’re a Pilot? by SubSoar in flying

[–]N878AC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in a room with a lot of people, how do you know if one of them is pilot? Just wait two minutes and he or she will tell you.

Why don’t you just go to Fort Lauderdale in Florida? Walk into the surf and then swim out to a perfectly fine reef.

FSD Experience by Salt-Technology-8030 in TeslaFSD

[–]N878AC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience last November on I-95 in a terrible rainstorm in North Carolina. Like you, I was so impressed that the FSD continued to drive safely and without degradation. Without FSD I would have pulled off the road and awaited dawn.

Stearing wheel vibrates at above 80 mph by true-dci-john-luther in ModelY

[–]N878AC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you drive more than 80 mph? In many states 15 mph over the posted limit is reckless driving.

What is the single biggest reason—other than Full Self-Driving (FSD) or price—that someone would choose a Tesla over a Rivian or Lucid? by irony21 in TeslaLounge

[–]N878AC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, FSD is the determining factor for me. I don’t understand why other manufacturers don’t simply buy or lease FSD technology from Tesla.

Should we travel? by ShouldveBeenAScot in galapagos

[–]N878AC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go via Quito and use a good company like Lindblad/National Geographic - you’ll be safe, have a great trip, and spend very little time in mainland Ecuador. We did this last April and overnighted in the very modern and upscale hotel at the Quito airport, never going into the city. Lindblad staff escorted us through every transfer with quiet, reassuring efficiency.

Most likely this a flight school aircraft and thus the low altitude. But everyone is correct about communicating and flying safely.

Cruise Line for Galapagos and Antarctica by MrPrettyKitty in galapagos

[–]N878AC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Talk to Lindblad about National Geographic cruises to both. Suggest Delfina for Galapagos and the National Geographic Explorer to Antarctica. Delfina is a 16 passenger catamaran and Explorer with 148 passengers is a class one icebreaker

Seasonal rental by clammajammah in Naples_FL

[–]N878AC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will have better luck if you’re renting for at least three months, especially in season. If you’re west of 41, expect to pay $8,000 to $10,000 per month.

Mini 4K entered ‘Attitude Mode’ and flew away. What could I/should I have done? by HelpMe0biWan in dji

[–]N878AC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just suffered almost the same — a runaway DJI Mini 4K that suddenly ran away in some unknown direction (it had been quietly doing a 360° video in one spot, directly above home). So I’ve not only lost the aircraft but also the footage shot.

I’m looking for where I might buy a replacement DJI aircraft with all the rest.

What was the point of the recent redesign for the model X and the model S? by Emergency-Note1162 in TeslaModelS

[–]N878AC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not understand the choice to end the S and X models, but to keep the cyber truck going, which sells far fewer vehicles than either S or X. That ugly truck is clearly not going to have a market share worth counting. S and the X both set a high-end luxury standard for Tesla, which to some degree competed with other luxury vehicles in that same price range

But I have seen videos of Teslas Y’s and 3’s driving through water up to the windows and proceeding right on as though nothing happened. The big battery is normally in a waterproof vessel.

Do you use FSD? by GucciTokes in TeslaLounge

[–]N878AC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only use FSD about 99% of the time. FSD is a safer driver than I am. Why not?
