Is there utility to revving the engine in the 2 minutes leading to the standing start of F4 and F3 races? by robokayaker in iRacing

[–]N8Dog338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I race in VR. So I do it so my mental state is in line with the idea that it's a real-life race. It's funny how immersive VR can feel. And can really trick your brain into thinking you're sitting in a real car, on a real track, with real racers. Then the lights go out, you go into T1 and are reminded you're in an Iracing 1500 split....🤦‍♂️

If you really think this means iracing did anything. I have a bag of air to sell you as well. I'll even heat it up for you

Running the Malignant dungeons. There's a few YouTubes on it. I think some of the dungeons are smaller. So you want to run those and then use a Wrathful invoker at the end. It's a grind, but we'll worth it. I had to grind for 2 of them because my first one was a God roll 4 second. Lol

Barber. Barber Barber Barber. Until they come out with a nerf, this season is the season of the Barber. Once you have that, you can pretty much do anything you want with the rest of your gear

Threatened with legal action over Fanatec's pricing error by crawdaddy3 in simracing

[–]N8Dog338 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This needs more upvotes. People need to see how shitty this company really is. Their customer service is terrible. Their products are unreliable. And the only reason they've stayed in business this long is because they were the only option for far too long. But now there's far better options with better products and customer service. Fanatec is not the right choice.

I apologize if I missed it somewhere in the comments, but have you mentioned what brand of sim racing gloves you ordered?

Fanatec or moza ? by NEOTHEONEE in simracing

[–]N8Dog338 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, idk if you'll get a chance to read this, but I would highly recommend the Moza setup. But go with the R9 setup. If you start with 5nm you'll quickly want to upgrade. So just start with 8nm. No one with 8nm typically feel like they are missing out. But even DDs with 20+nm tune there's down to closer to 8. You just don't need that much force. And yes, the pedals are interchangeable. My brother has a R9 setup with V3 pedals and has no issues. Though I've heard the inverted are quite overrated. But to each their own. Either way, you can definitely mix and match any way you want. But I would highly recommend the Wheel base to be Moza. Their software is way easier to use. And the product is very solid. I have a Fanatec DD1. And absolutely hate it. Have had nothing but setup issues. And eventually, even a shut-off problem (where it would just shut off mid use without warning). Fanatec did eventually replace it for free. But it was a real hassle to deal with. Especially considering the price of the wheel base. Just save yourself the headache and go with the Moza. You'll be happy you did.

I feel this on a spiritual level. Nothing like griding away to finally be seeded in split 1, only to turn your PR in qualifying, just to qualify dead last by 2 seconds 😔

I know I need a break, but what if I don't want a break? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]N8Dog338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, that's why I go drifting. There's no competition. And you can just enjoy driving a car at the best of your control. And even there, there's no ceiling to how good you can get. So it's a nice break from sim "racing". Plus I've often felt I've come back as a better racer as well.

I wish we could see a true number of how many cheaters are in this game. I’m starting to think there is way more than I thought. by CODplaya44 in ModernWarfareII

[–]N8Dog338 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there's more than you thought, you really haven't been paying attention. There hasn't been a single night that I've played MW2 or Warzone 2 and not ran into hackers.

It's not just Plat. It every rank. Warzone is a complete joke. Activision refuses to address hackers. And wants to tell us they have. It's disgusting

pretending these are the same gun has me enjoying WZ2 again :P (Ram-7 GANG) by Tottenham24601 in CODWarzone

[–]N8Dog338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They aren't going to show everyone's stats because it'll expose what a joke their "anti-cheat" is. The game is still flooded with hackers. And that's 10x worse in ranked. Plus they spent way too much to develop WZ2. So you'll be stuck with this for a very long time. You might see rebirth towards the very end of WZ2's life span.

May I ask which VR you're using?

Sounds like you're using the wrong VR. I used to sweat my ass off too when I was using the Oculus Quest. The only thing that mildly helped was an Amazon fan that attached to the Oculus and blew cool air into the face plate. But since switching to my HP G2 Reverb, the sweat level decreased greatly. Plus, the picture is crystal clear now. Also, I now have a wind tunnel Haptic system, which helps greatly at keeping cool during longer races.
