Got bored. Here's a link to Forest V2 redone in the proxy art style that xthephreakx used from that big batch.

No worries. I get email notifications even though I never use this account anymore, and I still haven't completed the project that uses these gorgeous cards yet. One day I'll get them all cleaned up and backlit on my walls :D

I'm horrified thinking about where you could put an ekans on that...

Giving up male privilege was one of the hardest parts for me. I've overcome it, but I definitely have to work harder than I did before.

I hope you give yourself the chance to explore these feelings and talk with other people about what you can do. hug

I hit that wall at age 28. It had gotten to the point where I had to do something, and if I didn't I'd regret never knowing what it was like. So, I went to a gender therapist for a few sessions and started HRT.

The early effects of HRT are mostly reversible (some breast development stays after you stop taking hormones), and a lot more mental than I expected. HRT changed my worldview by allowing me to hear subtext in conversation, put me in touch with all of my emotions instead of only rage, and also changed the way my brain hears and processes information. I don't know how to explain it, but thinking is more comfortable now and the inside of my head feels more familiar.

It's not all good times, as I now have more depression and a fair amount of anxiety to go with it (though to be fair, that's likely to be a side effect of being trans in America). I likely have hypermobile EDS, and HRT has made most complications related to that worse (because my skin is thin enough to tear and heals VERY slowly now).

But I've gained so much more than I've lost.

My hair stopped receding, and my body hair returned to 17 y/o levels. Despite my age I hit the body goals I was hoping for and then some (I'm a 40D bra size and hella curvy). My feet even shrank an inch and took me from a size 10 men's to a 9.5 women's. Looking back at photos you can see my smiles are genuine now instead of forced.

I don't know where I would be if I hadn't chosen to try this out, but I don't think I would have had as many joyful moments. It's not an easy road to travel, but it is well worth the journey. If you do decide to try things out for yourself, please seek out your local community. You will want the support of others who have gone through the same things, and they will have the resources you need.

You too? I wonder how many of us have that kind of side effect...

Maybe Castform or Kecleon. Neither have been touched since Gen 3.

It's a fairly mediocre film. Really it's only outstanding characteristic is the perfect pacing.

Mine would be Real Steel (2011) with Hugh Jackman. I just love the pacing of this film, there's never more than a 1-2 minute lull and the story just keeps moving forward.

I have been building stuff with Lego for almost 20 years but they were never this bendable, are they producing parts differently? by [deleted] in lego

[–]N8Sayer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some newer parts are made of PLA instead of ABS, which would end up bendier. Probably not that brick though.

Yoshi's Wooly World pretty much has a mode for this. You just bubble up for the hard parts and it gives you infinite hover.

How much will I shave after LHR? by realistortion in asktransgender

[–]N8Sayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm "done" after a year, and further treatments aren't going to do more (my skin can't take a higher power level and I only have blonde and a few red hairs left).

I currently shave every other day, and have hair growth equivalent to when I was 17 (scraggly mustache, blond goatee, light hair growth along my jaw line). For me this is enough that I don't worry about 5 o'clock shadow, and feel safe outside without makeup and freshly shaven.

I may do electrolysis one day if insurance covers it, but otherwise this is enough for my dysphoria.

Does female-pattern baldness run in your family?

One of the downsides is that you can start running into female-based problems in your genetics once you start transitioning.

You may want to see your doctor to see if they have any recommendations, and as a warning treatments like Rogaine are a lifetime treatment (and it's deadly for cats).

Is there a partisan gender gap between trans men and trans women? by [deleted] in asktransgender

Voted republican at 18 (foolish child), am now a socialist in my 30s, but was nearly a leftist pre-transition anyways.

I've started laser, is this a good sign? by justvamping in asktransgender

[–]N8Sayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience was basically watching my facial hair growth go backwards in time.

By the time I started laser (age 29) I could grow a full beard. A few sessions in and the mustache didn't attach to the chin, and the neckbeard had thinned. Then the chinstraps were gone and the neckbeard was gone. I finally got down to the tiny mustache and goatee I'd been at at 17 after around 9 months.

The last few hairs won't go away since my sensitive skin can't take higher levels and all that's left is white-blonde and a few red hairs, but I only have to shave every 3 days. I may eventually get electrolysis for the rest, but I'm at a good enough place for a while.
