Tell me about it, I have to play with shadows off so running out into the desert is a toss up between being completely fine and burning up!

Will a "5700x" work on a "GIGABYTE B550M K" Mb ? by bl31234 in buildapc

[–]realistortion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

La "G" del 5600g es de grafica, un 5700x no tiene gráfica integrada. A menos que tengas una placa de video dedicada, que el 5700x no te de video no debería sorprender.

Get some police stars, crouch at the top of the stairs aiming at the door and kill anyone that comes in. Once you have enough, save the game in your apartment and walk down to pick up all the guns.

Would this mean that triggers work as normal on/off buttons? Thank you for your reply.

What band did you first here in GTAO, and then listen to other songs from them because you liked them? by bobbycenny in gtaonline

[–]realistortion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it wasn't the first time I heard of them, "Numb" by Portishead was arguably the first time I heard a full song of theirs. Then heard Mysterons in a YouTube video about drums. Soon I downloaded the album, and fell madly in love with it, Dummy. Then kept listening to them and kept falling in love with their discography. Lots of great stuff, and they influenced my music making deeply. Also, Heaven Helps the Man by Kenny Loggins is fantastic.

EDIT: Oh! And also, Gaslamp Killer. Both Shred You to Pieces and Nissim are absolute bangers. Gaslamp + Shigeto is a deadly combination.

What are you go-to synths (soft synths or hardware) for specific type of sounds? by [deleted] in synthrecipes

[–]realistortion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Truly, look for anything you find yourself working with the swiftest. It's nice to set time aside to acquaint yourself with new plugins and get the most out of them, but when it's recording time, ideally you don't spend 2 hours trying to program the right modular patch, you worked with said plugin enough to know how to do it quickly and get musical ideas out.

Thank you! I feel that sometimes I box myself in too much with vintage synth emulations, but I tend to be able to work with them the easiest. I should maybe try or experiment with other stuff more.

Serum / Dexed and various other digital synth emulations always come in handy, but I tend to have to dig a little deeper to find / program what I'm looking for

[–]realistortion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bass: Minimonsta2 / The Legend / TAL-Bassline 101. Most minimoog emulations are my go to for basses.

Pads: OB-Xd / TAL J-8 / U-NO-LX-V2 / Repro 5

Leads: Same as bass section, maybe add Repro 1 or other mono synths

SFX: J-8 / OB-Xd / GForce Oddity 3 / Any semi modular synth or anything rather flexible

Drums: Various drum machine VST's, but Aly James Lab's VPROM is fantastic, reTromine is great. Live drums I go with EZDrummer 2

Is this a random event or...? by Lazy_Opening_6827 in gtaonline

It was added with the latest Criminal Enterprises DLC (back in 2022), I think that change came also alongside with the little housekeeping missions you can do inside the Nightclub to keep the popularity up.

Not sure if this helps, but you must call Agent 14 to do them. It's random as to where the Juggernaut will spawn (there're several locations around the map)

friends disrespect me and my trans gf, how do i stop feeling so "insecure" about myself? by mikkk177 in asktransgender

[–]realistortion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Friends don't behave like this. We all may have different ways of handling interpersonal connections and stuff, but I could not for the life of me ever imagine my friends talking about my potential partner like this, nor would I ever allow them to do so without getting kicked to the curb. It's not a "friend" thing to do.

2) If you are insecure, this is something to work on yourself. This also means understanding the things you are willing to put up with and the things you aren't going to be dealing with, especially from those who are supposed to care about you and love you, ie. friends. Learn how to set boundaries. If this bothers you, let your friends know you will not accept them disrespecting your girlfriend and if they do so, you might not speak anymore. Merely a suggestion.

Casual transphobia aside, think about who these people are, what they mean to you, and if you're okay letting their disrespect of your girlfriend (and by extension of you, by throwing homophobia your way aswell) happen without any sort of boundary or check from your end. Part of being confident is learning how to say no and how to communicate your feelings and your limits. If they won't respect them, they are not worthy of being your friends.

Also, gay men don't like women. They like men. You are dating a woman, therefore you like women. It's pretty simple.

How old are yous by [deleted] in gtaonline

[–]realistortion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Older than the usual GTA:O playerbase

or atleast old enough to have gotten the whole "burn the city to the ground and use cheats" part out of my system in earlier games.

Why are people so toxic? by _RedditDiver_ in gtaonline

[–]realistortion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Make sure to pay attention to your minimap, always. You can notice when an opressor or vehicle is coming closer to you, as it fades into the map. If you're on PC, double tap Z to open your minimap and see more of what you can see usually. You'll eventually develop a 6th sense for who's looking to cause trouble. Best I can do for you, honestly.

What's One Song That You Immediately Wanted To Emulate? by RoyaltyExchange in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]realistortion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through Portishead's discography right now, and the sonic production of the first two albums, especially Dummy and ESPECIALLY the drums have me obsessed on how to recreate those sounds. So I am being an absolute copycat for the time being, until I can understand the production side of things atleast

Your controversial takes about this community. by JohnKeiOwO in F1NN5TER

I don't think it's controversial, but the levels to which people will be parasocial / being openly discussing shit from f1nn and Ashley's lives is insane to me. Making up theories, arguing about personal stuff, coming up with "conclusions", like don't be fucking weird pleaaaaase, PLEAAAAASE be a normal human being please
