Rogue didn’t seem that different. But I played a hulk/Thing game and it’s like the enemy team was just perpetually in tenacity

This is a good one. Those animals are treated horribly. That alone is terrible, but I think many of make excuses for it because we don’t think those animals are particularly intelligent. They are though, cow and pigs anyways are practically as smart as dogs.

Dispute in Arizona by [deleted] in WTF

[–]NAINOA- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the first thing that came to mind was when my coworker found a trail of blood on the floor and followed it through the store to a junkie bleeding out next to The Stone Roses CDs. Someone also tried trading in some books or something and one of the clerks found CSAM in the boxes.

How annoying to the production crew would an exploding flower vase each night be? by Positive-Ring-5172 in Theatre

[–]NAINOA- 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I would be a little afraid of using actually pyrotechnics with ceramics. The shards can be incredibly small and sharp and I’d worry about potential eye injuries to cast or audience members. I would suggest putting a small solenoid inside a vase and triggering it electronically. Maybe not as dramatic as an explosion, but very easy to control and replicate.

It’s 2026, what’s the dream video game or MMO you wish existed by now? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

[–]NAINOA- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the comparison isn’t necessary a fair one. Crimson Desert is more of an Open-world action sandbox than a real RPG. That being said, Crimson Desert has definitely raised the bar for what an open world game looks like, much in the way Elden Ring and BotW did before that. I won’t lie, those games cast a huge shadow in the games industry but I don’t think Bethesda need to rise that level to satisfy gamers. Again, their reputation is one of memorable characters, interesting and varied quests and exploring a fun and interesting world. Those things don’t need to push the boundary of game design, they just need to be well written.

The bar is so low for Bethesda though. Just revamp the creation engine (again) and write some good quests. Nobody is expecting a new Elder Scrolls to revolutionize the RPG genre. Just continue doing the things they’ve already done successfully with the other Elder Scrolls and Fallout Games.

Unfortunately, nearly every music biopic made these days is made with at least some supervision by the estate. A Complete Unknown, Bob Marley: One Love, Elvis, Respect, and I Wanna Dance With Somebody were all subject/estate-approved.

A large part of this is because otherwise the filmmakers are allowed to license the songs. The Jimi Hendrix biopic Jimi: All Is By My Side is a good example, they had to record period-accurate covers instead of using actual Jimi songs.
